In Qabalah there are four parts of the human soul. The divine part, the Chaya or “fire soul”, the Ruach or “water soul” is the the part connected to spiritual and
moral virtues and the discernment between good and evil. The Neshama or “air soul” is the intellectual mind that differentiates us from other life forms. Lastly the Nefesh is the “earth soul” it’s the part that animates us and makes our fleshly bodies move.
