These two babies (aka my handsome husband and I) are celebrating 10 years together and 4 years married today! 🤍

A little over 4 years ago, while planning our wedding in the midst of us both being in grad school, my passion for weddings truly became evident! Although a little hesistant at first, my husband was ready to support my dreams and we uprooted from our newlywed lives in the big city back to our hometown.

One of the {MANY} things I love about getting to being there on one of the most special days of my couples lives’, is seeing the start of the newest chapter of their lives together. No one truly knows exactly how their lives are going to be or what good/bad things things they will go through. One thing I always pray for my couples is that they would trust God first and choose each other every single day, to walk together hand in hand through what life throws their way.

I’m so thankful that my husband has always chosen me, every single day and is ready to say yes to whatever crazy idea I come up with next.

We have some new followers so I just thought I would share a little bit about myself!

Hello, I’m Brittney! I am the owner and founder of The Blissful Bride!

I wish I could tell you this picture perfect story about how I have dreamed of being a wedding planner since I was a little girl and I always knew that this is what I wanted to do! But that’s not quite how it went down and we are fixing to get REAL personal. One of the many things I strive for in my business when I’m working with my AMAZING couples is honesty and realness. So without further a do….

I went to school for Speech Language Pathology and received my Masters in 2018. I married the love of my life and high school sweetheart in 2018, needless to say 2018 was a BIG YEAR!

I fell in love with weddings while planning my own. I loved the organization and all the little details that all came together to create the big picture! During my wedding planning process, I didn’t really think much about wanting to plan weddings long term. It was fun to do mine, but I thought that would be the end once I had my wedding. However, once I was married, I couldn’t shake this feeling of wanting to be more involved with weddings.

I began assisting with weddings and it truly brought me so much joy. I was content with assisting, but wondered if there was something more! On November 30th, 2019, the day after my husband’s birthday, I would found out we were pregnant! Long story short, we ended up miscarrying at 12 weeks. As you can imagine, so many different emotions were happening. A lot of why’s, questioning my purpose, etc. It wasn’t but a few weeks later in the midst of questioning God and what we did to deserve this and how I was never going to be happy again, I had the opportunity to start my own wedding planning business. That that’s when The Blissful Bride was born!

If you have made it this far, you may be thinking, starting a new business in the midst of a pandemic and right after a miscarriage? THIS GIRL IS INSANE. But when I look back on the journey of this business, God couldn’t have had better timing when it came to The Blissful Bride. This business, along with my husband and family, is what “brought me out” of 2020. I found my purpose which is to love people and love them well.

There is meaning why I chose “The Blissful Bride”. Blissful means “full of joy” and “extremely happy”, which is what I strive for every day for this business. To make couples and their families, feel “full of joy” on one of the best days of their lives.

I hope that whether I get to be apart of one of the most special days of your life or even if I don’t, that your day would be filled with “bliss”.

We are SO PUMPED for our 2022 and 2023 Couples! We have a feeling that this is going to be our BEST year yet! 2021 gave us absolutely AMAZING couples and we are so excited to see how the Lord is going to show up and provide this year!

Wedding experts are guestimating that around 2.6 million weddings will take place THIS year, which is a 40 year record high!

The wedding world is BOOMING right now! We are so excited to announce that we are COMPLETELY BOOKED January-June 2022! When we started The Blissful Bride and dreaming of the future, we NEVER thought we would have this many weddings in one year booked this early in our business! But the Lord is so faithful!

We are still booking July-December 2022, as well as 2023 weddings, but will only take so many more so we don’t get burned out! We pride ourselves in the relationships we build with our couples and don’t want to compromise that just to get the “max” number of weddings in a year!

With that being said, if you and/or have a friend getting married in 2022 or 2023, BOOK YOUR VENDORS SOON and of course, HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER ASAP! I promise we are worth it!

We are going to be talking about this wedding for A LONG TIME! We got some AMAZING sneak peeks from Copper and Pearl and we just couldn’t contain our excitement to share them!

The Story Behind The Pictures:

The week of the wedding Hailey (the bride) texted me saying that the getaway car they were going to use for the wedding would no longer work. I could tell she was disappointed and was really looking forward to having it at the wedding. We were 3 days before the wedding and searching frantically for a getaway car. I reached out to multiple people, put it on Facebook, even went as far as walking up to a random man downtown who was getting into a vintage car. After lots of no’s, WE FOUND A CAR! And it just so happened to be Kyler’s dream car! (Shoutout to Val Durrington for being our saving grace!)

I told Hailey I found someone with a car and sent her a picture. Her immediate reaction was “Don’t Tell Kyler! I want to surprise him!” This is a PERFECT example of Hailey and Kyler’s love for each other. They are always willing to go above and beyond for one another and make their wedding day as special as possible for one another!

I filled in Kelsey with Copper and Pearl and told her the situation and we brainstormed how we could distract him while the getaway car arrived! Everything was absolutely PERFECT! He was so surprised and the look on Hailey’s face when we pulled it off was absolutely priceless!

When I say this couple will always be near and dear to my heart, they will always hold a special place!
