Well, I’m just a bit late in making any sort of announcement but it is with a very happy heart I do it today!
Roughly six months ago, out of an abundance of caution over concern for my health, I decided to begin closing down my beloved Luke Wilson Events. The years of stress, constant work and pressure to be in charge of it all really started to take its toll.
I started LWE in 2002 … 20 years ago. I feel so proud of what I have done in that time. I have successfully navigated the waters of the weddings and event industry without making many of the missteps I have seen made by some along the way. I laughed, I cried and literally even bled to make my business what it was and I will always be proud to have accomplished what I did.
Closing LWE was in no way a failure. Rather I see it as a triumphant rebirth into a next chapter for me as an event professional. I have a WEALTH of knowledge in so many aspects of this industry. From being a musician and vocalist growing up, to baking weddings cakes, arranging flowers, custom sewing furnishings, tent draping, catering, event design … you name it. If it is part of the event planning process, I’ve likely had a hand in it at one point in time.
I am thrilled that now I get to share that wealth of knowledge with clients and vendors alike who contact me at Arlington Hall. I want to be an advocate, a partner, a supporter. I know it takes a team and I am so happy that as I make this transition, I am no longer the coach of that team. I get to be the VIP player who plays well in the sandbox for the betterment of the final product.
So, watch this space … much more to come. I am looking forward to supporting my Dallas, TX event professional friends while bringing attention to Arlington Hall. A place I love dearly and I know you will too! If you’re looking for a wedding venue in Dallas, please send me a message here and let’s talk about how the Hall can be the perfect fit for you or your clients.
See y’all at the hall!
