Join us on Thursday August 15th from 7-9pm when our friends from will be in house for “Blooms and Booze!” Grab a seat, and be surrounded by beautiful flowers and learn how to create a lovely arrangement to take home, All made from locally grown, freshly harvested flowers. You’ll select your blooms from the Bouquet Bar, and pick your palette from an array of Zinnias, Dahlias, Snapdragons, Alstromeria, and other unique flowers.

Last night's storms were brutal.

We've had a lot of damage to our flowers.

We hope everyone was safe.

Our Bouquet Subscription was set to begin this week, and we will have to see if we're able to make that happen or if we need to adjust the schedule.

Bouquet subscribers will get an email tomorrow afternoon with information.

What is a Bouquet Subscription?

A bouquet subscription is a 12-week subscription (like a magazine subscription) of beautiful specialty cut flowers from our floral gardens.

Each week, beginning July 19th and running through the first week of October, you'll receive a lush garden bouquet filled with dahlias, Zinnias, English Garden Roses, delphiniums, Sbapdragons, and many other varieties of seasonal flowers 💐 😀 😊

A bouquet subscription can be split between friends, given to clients, and selfishly kept for you (my favorite option)

This is the ultimate flower subscription. 🌼

For the month of August, OR September, you get to pick your flowers every week for 4 weeks, or as your schedule allows.

U-Pick Subscriptions are based on you. You can use your 4 U-Picks at any time during the month. Ideally, weekly keeps you stocked with flowers, but we completely understand vacations and busy schedules, and of course, weather.

You may share your U-Pick with a friend and split up your U-Picks, or do them together.

Snips and buckets provided.

We are happy to coordinate and accommodate.

Any unused U-Pick will not be credited and is forfeited.

💐💐💐 Yesterday, we had our Dahlia Dayz Workshop. Teaching the basics of anatamoy, planting, and caring for Dahlias. BUT, the most important aspect of the workshop was teaching these 6 lovely ladies how to divide a tuber clump. Dividing dahlia tubers can be intimidating, but when you have a dahlia expert to guide you through, it becomes so much easier to do. All of the attendees got to keep the tubers they divided 😮 .....going home with anywhere from 7 to 14 tubers 😁 Due to interest, we will be hosting another Dahlia Dayz Workshop soon. We will also be hosting a class at the end of the year where you can bring your dahlia clumps in, and I will guide you through how to divide them #ivyoaksfloral #somonaukflorist #floralgardens #floralstudio #specialtycutflowers #eventstudio

Pinching Dahlias We have been pinching a lot of Dahlias this weekend and so many more to do. The best time to pinch is when your plants are roughly 10" tall, and you have at least 4 sets of leaves Pinch or cut the main stem off, and this will signal the plant to send new stems. Pinching redirects the plants' energy (temporarily) towards producing stems and leaves rather than buds. It's Tulip Time 🌷🌷🌷 Yesterday, we harvested 1500 tulips, packed them by variety in crates, and stored them in the cooler.....we will do another 3000 tomorrow Next week, kicks off our Tulip Subscription .....which is sold out! If you were lucky enough to get one of our Tulip Subscriptions, you'll rec2 dozen tulips each week for 4 weeks! The next opportunity you have to grab out tulips will be during our Spring Outdoor Garden Market and during our big Mother's Day Weekend events.....line up will be released soon!
