Want your business to be the top-listed Event Planning Service?
When Maria and Mary met they bonded over a common first name and a mutual love of all things beautiful and botanical. They dreamed of combining their diverse backgrounds and creating something extraordinary. From there Hele Mele Botanicals was born: “Hele” meaning “go” in Hawaiian, and “Mele” being the transliteration of Mary and Maria. Collectively they offer multifaceted botanical creations and experiences in a signature ‘graciously Hawaiian’ style.
Maria Roedel
At the age of sixteen Maria’s parents forced her to get a job. She started out in a kiosk in Solana Beach, California with an amazing mentor who taught her about the floral industry. She fell in love with everything blossoming and green. This early job led to 20 years of experience in designing and styling florals. Eventually she purchased the kiosk, and it would become the first of many shops she would own throughout her career. After many years as an independent florist, she became a freelance designer and helped open two upscale floral shops in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. She then moved on as head floral designer at the Ritz Carlton, San Juan Puerto Rico, where she was involved in all aspects of botanical design for the day-to-day hotel operations, indoor and outdoor landscaping, as well as special events. She is excited to share her lifelong passion for blooms and botanicals.
