To-date, there's only one wedding I couldn't be part off, and had to cancel. I had flown back to the USA to support it, but ended up incredibly sick and literally unable to stand. I was devastated to cancel on a bride and friend, but there was absolutely zero way I could fulfill my duties.

I received this message from her, along with access to her gallery, and honestly this is the entire reason I do wedding coordation ❤️

"I want you to know how grateful I am for all of your help during the whole wedding planning process and even tho it sucked that you couldn't come, I would've much rather you stayed home and taken care of yourself than you pushing yourself beyond your body's physical limits.
The ideas you gave me for stuff to do for the wedding gave me some of the best moments and memories, the best one being our private first dance. It was the most genius idea and we got the best photos from it. I wanted you to get to see them all and know that YOU helped create so much of our special day and i will always be grateful for you"

I'm moving once again! New England: you have been absolutely incredible. I truly met the most amazing couples here. I'm so grateful for how I grew my business and all the wonderful vendors I got to work with.
Next stop: Europe!!!! I'm now based in Luxembourg for the 9-5, but I am still doing events. Maybe now is the time to finally have the destination wedding/party/event you've always dreamed off, and I'm ready to assist.

Ended 2023 at the most incredible wedding. Once again, the venue had a coordinator but there is so much a DOC will do for you that a venue coordinator won't. Simple details like pulling off a price sticker from the bride and groom's champagne glasses, or switching incorrectly set-up tables, or even figuringout how to close a tent to keep it warm when the venue coordinator didn't know how!

HEART came while the wedding party was still getting ready and here's a few things I assisted with:
Touched base with the bride and took care of the ceremony and speech portfolios
Coordinated between wedding party members for pictures, tissues, beverages, and logistical movements through the venue.
Time check-ins for photographers, venue staff, and bridal party.
Set up the bar, cocktail area, rememberance table, card box and guest book, and photo table.
Ensured all dinner tables were set up correctly.
Assisted DJs in their requests
Lit candles and set out bud vases
Ensured ceremony space was set up correctly
Asked guests in reserved seats to move (the most awkard part of the job)
Figured out how to close the tent curtains and enlisted a bridal party member to help me when even the venue coordinator didn't know how (engineering degree comes in useful!)
Lined people up and assisted with ceremony
Directed guests to the ceremony space
Coordinated with DJs to begin ceremony music
Fashioned a tiny baby's breath bouquet out of leftover flowers and a champagne lid for the flower girl to carry.
Directed guests to the reception space.
Ensured the couple's drinks were refilled
Prodded the venue to feed the vendors in a timely fashion
Managed the distribution of tips to vendors at the end of the evening.
Cleared all tables and assisted the venue woth tear down.
Packed guest book, card box, bridal bouqets and other critical items into the bridal suite.
Here's to ending a fabulous New England wedding year and beginning another!

The problem with working a full time and side gig is you forget all you did at a wedding a week ago! But I do remember some of the most incredible humans I've met got married last Sunday, and I couldn'tbe more grateful to have been part of it.
HEART helped with the following:
Directing guests from a shuttle to the ceremony, to the reception, and coordinating with the DJ to guide guests to multiple shuttles.
Parking directions for guests
Mic testing the officiant
Lining up and queuing the ceremony
Coordinating ceremony music cues with the DJ.
Lighting the centerpiece candles
Setting out the seating charts
Setting out blankets for guests
Fresh drinks for the couple
Working with the caterer and DJ on a very fluid timeline due to weather.
Setting out desserts and refilling them
Dusting homemade lemon bars with powdered sugar
Assisiting with the cake cutting and removing the cake after
Ensuring all vendors got their meals in a timely manner
Refilling polaroid camera batteries and working with the DJ to ensure people know what to do with it
Coordinating with the caterers to help gather centerpiece items
Clearing all tables at the end of the night of centerpieces, trash, and napkins
Moving all decor elements inside the house.

Another wedding in the books! Once again, there was a venue coordinator but an extra pair of hands to help pm the biggest day of your life is never a bad idea!
Cruiseport Glouster was absolutely gorgeous, offers cruises for cocktail hour or more, and was an absolute delight of a venue to work with.
The couple utilized several of HEART suggestions on the timelines and other elements of the wedding. HEART Wedding Coordinator did a number of things, a few of which are listed below.
Liasing with the DJ and venue coordinator regarding the schedule for a sunset cruise happy hour.
Ensuring cake and donuts were delivered and set up.
Assisiting family with last-minute additions.
Lining up the bridal party and giving final directions to walk down the aisel.
Setting up and test running the RC car for the ring bearer.
Making sure said RC car made it down the aisle!
Baskets to the flower girls.
Worked to flip the venue space from ceremony to reception.
Finalized decorations around the reception.
Set up guest book and photo booth signage and decor.
Assisted with decor clean-up and repackaging.
Assisted with bustling the bride's dress. End of the night repair to the bustle 😊
Ensured the bride's drink at the sweetheart table.
Directed guests around the venue.

First wedding of the 2023 season! This wedding was special: it was for the girl I'm named after ❤️ Also, it is my only 2023 wedding booked outside of New England. I'm always happy to travel to your wedding, and my low base rates may make it worth your while!

HEART was able to help with a number of things including:
Consulting on menus, decor, and timelines.
Discussing backup weather plans and when the final decisions would be made.
Leading a rehearsal, directing people placement, transitions, coordinating AV and livestream considerations.
Queueing the ceremony and reception.
Wrapping a plastic arch in tulle, fairy lights, and greenery to transform it.
Ceremony decor down the aisles.
Distributing corsages and boutenierres.
Coordinating wedding party to set up and tear down decor and move furniture from the church.
Reception decor to transform an empty hall space with simple candles and tulle.
Cupcakes by the wonderful Julia Lapp (allergen friendly and GF options also provided!)
Coordinating bridal party and family pictures.
Providing picture pose suggestions.
Photography assistance (coats, umbrellas, snacks, wrangling participants, etc)
Reception: assist with setting out food and beverages.
Assisted in rose petal send off.
Directed clean-up and restoration of the space.
Packed the couple's car with food, drinks, tableware, card box, amd their personal bags.

Happy holidays! While I'm taking some time away from work at present, I know the holidays are a huge proposal time, as well as the time engaged couples may also be taking a step back from the daily grind to focus on some wedding planning!
Wherever you are in your wedding process, please consider hiring a Day of Coordinator! No one who has hired me has ever regretted it, and I hear from so many couples who wish they'd hired one.
