I'm moving once again! New England: you have been absolutely incredible. I truly met the most amazing couples here. I'm so grateful for how I grew my business and all the wonderful vendors I got to work with.
Next stop: Europe!!!! I'm now based in Luxembourg for the 9-5, but I am still doing events. Maybe now is the time to finally have the destination wedding/party/event you've always dreamed off, and I'm ready to assist.

Ended 2023 at the most incredible wedding. Once again, the venue had a coordinator but there is so much a DOC will do for you that a venue coordinator won't. Simple details like pulling off a price sticker from the bride and groom's champagne glasses, or switching incorrectly set-up tables, or even figuringout how to close a tent to keep it warm when the venue coordinator didn't know how!

HEART came while the wedding party was still getting ready and here's a few things I assisted with:
Touched base with the bride and took care of the ceremony and speech portfolios
Coordinated between wedding party members for pictures, tissues, beverages, and logistical movements through the venue.
Time check-ins for photographers, venue staff, and bridal party.
Set up the bar, cocktail area, rememberance table, card box and guest book, and photo table.
Ensured all dinner tables were set up correctly.
Assisted DJs in their requests
Lit candles and set out bud vases
Ensured ceremony space was set up correctly
Asked guests in reserved seats to move (the most awkard part of the job)
Figured out how to close the tent curtains and enlisted a bridal party member to help me when even the venue coordinator didn't know how (engineering degree comes in useful!)
Lined people up and assisted with ceremony
Directed guests to the ceremony space
Coordinated with DJs to begin ceremony music
Fashioned a tiny baby's breath bouquet out of leftover flowers and a champagne lid for the flower girl to carry.
Directed guests to the reception space.
Ensured the couple's drinks were refilled
Prodded the venue to feed the vendors in a timely fashion
Managed the distribution of tips to vendors at the end of the evening.
Cleared all tables and assisted the venue woth tear down.
Packed guest book, card box, bridal bouqets and other critical items into the bridal suite.

The problem with working a full time and side gig is you forget all you did at a wedding a week ago! But I do remember some of the most incredible humans I've met got married last Sunday, and I couldn'tbe more grateful to have been part of it.
HEART helped with the following:
Directing guests from a shuttle to the ceremony, to the reception, and coordinating with the DJ to guide guests to multiple shuttles.
Parking directions for guests
Mic testing the officiant
Lining up and queuing the ceremony
Coordinating ceremony music cues with the DJ.
Lighting the centerpiece candles
Setting out the seating charts
Setting out blankets for guests
Fresh drinks for the couple
Working with the caterer and DJ on a very fluid timeline due to weather.
Setting out desserts and refilling them
Dusting homemade lemon bars with powdered sugar
Assisiting with the cake cutting and removing the cake after
Ensuring all vendors got their meals in a timely manner
Refilling polaroid camera batteries and working with the DJ to ensure people know what to do with it
Coordinating with the caterers to help gather centerpiece items
Clearing all tables at the end of the night of centerpieces, trash, and napkins
Moving all decor elements inside the house.

Another wedding in the books! Once again, there was a venue coordinator but an extra pair of hands to help pm the biggest day of your life is never a bad idea!
Cruiseport Glouster was absolutely gorgeous, offers cruises for cocktail hour or more, and was an absolute delight of a venue to work with.
The couple utilized several of HEART suggestions on the timelines and other elements of the wedding. HEART Wedding Coordinator did a number of things, a few of which are listed below.
Liasing with the DJ and venue coordinator regarding the schedule for a sunset cruise happy hour.
Ensuring cake and donuts were delivered and set up.
Assisiting family with last-minute additions.
Lining up the bridal party and giving final directions to walk down the aisel.
Setting up and test running the RC car for the ring bearer.
Making sure said RC car made it down the aisle!
Baskets to the flower girls.
Worked to flip the venue space from ceremony to reception.
Finalized decorations around the reception.
Set up guest book and photo booth signage and decor.
Assisted with decor clean-up and repackaging.
Assisted with bustling the bride's dress. End of the night repair to the bustle 😊
Ensured the bride's drink at the sweetheart table.
Directed guests around the venue.

First wedding of the 2023 season! This wedding was special: it was for the girl I'm named after ❤️ Also, it is my only 2023 wedding booked outside of New England. I'm always happy to travel to your wedding, and my low base rates may make it worth your while!

HEART was able to help with a number of things including:
Consulting on menus, decor, and timelines.
Discussing backup weather plans and when the final decisions would be made.
Leading a rehearsal, directing people placement, transitions, coordinating AV and livestream considerations.
Queueing the ceremony and reception.
Wrapping a plastic arch in tulle, fairy lights, and greenery to transform it.
Ceremony decor down the aisles.
Distributing corsages and boutenierres.
Coordinating wedding party to set up and tear down decor and move furniture from the church.
Reception decor to transform an empty hall space with simple candles and tulle.

Happy holidays! While I'm taking some time away from work at present, I know the holidays are a huge proposal time, as well as the time engaged couples may also be taking a step back from the daily grind to focus on some wedding planning!
Wherever you are in your wedding process, please consider hiring a Day of Coordinator! No one who has hired me has ever regretted it, and I hear from so many couples who wish they'd hired one.

Revisiting this beauitful wedding in Southie! Alissa and Steve were amazing, and loved their heart for others. This was a "destination wedding" for them as they, their family and guests all traveled to Boston from out of town.
It's always helpful to have a local DOC though! They brought me on just a few weeks before their big day, but that's how I roll - I don't need the months of time together. I just need enough time to transfer your vision to me and execute it.

This was a full day as we took a raw venue and transformed it into a gorgeous space. HEART was able to help with many things, though we'll just list a few. This was definitely the busiest wedding to-date!

Met alcohol delivery and confirmed correct order.
Met ice delivery and directed where to store.
Met multiple food and dessert caterers.
Met furniture and tableware delivery, and directed to appropriate locations.
Picked up 2nd reception dress from the bride at hotel, and brought to the venue.
Bridal pep talk at hotel.
Directed friends in setting up all tables and chairs for the reception and ceremony.
Arranged food for appetizers and dinner.
Called food vendors who had incorrect delivery times.
Refilled food though the evening.
Assisted an coordinated with venue personnel in playing music for the ceremony, reception and dances.
Coordinated to ensure MC had a mic for all announcements.
Set up selfie tripods.
Set up selfie background slideshow and coordinated with guests to find a laptop connection.
Set up and brewed coffee.
Set up a traditional cookie table.
Ran out for emergency alcohol refill.
Met and directed wait and bar staff all evening.
Packed up all food at end of night for donation.
Took the original wedding dress back to the hotel for the bride!

Much more that has been forgotten since, and light on the pics since we were busy running everything!

Yesterday was truly magical. The most gorgeous venue with an absolutely incredible couple and bridal party. While there was a venue coordinator, there is always room for a DOC as well.
My goal is at the end of the night the couple AND their family can drive off, and this literally happened yesterday!

A few things HEART helped with...
Before the big day phone calls to discuss schedule, review questions to ask other vendors, provide a central point of contact for all vendors.
Pin on boutenierres
Assist with first look coordination
Assist with picture line up to help get them completed in a timely manner
Call the officiant who arrived 35 min after the scheduled arrival time!
Gather the witnesses for the marriage license
Assist musicians for ceremony music
Line up bridal party and assist in collecting phones and sunglasses
Assist with pictures after the ceremony
Drinks and apps for the bride and groom during pics and through the reception
Assist in bridal party lineup for reception
Assist with bustling the bride
Various guest requests during the evening
Saving the top cake tier
Loading cake and bouqet on the shuttle bus
Ice and support for a sprained groomsman ankle
Packed all decor into boxes
Loaded all decor, florals, and signage and drapery into the designated vehicle so it could literally be driven away the next day!

My 2nd wedding of weekend had gorgeous weather for a lovely outdoor event. There were several moving parts, and the importance of a DOC was highlighted multiple times! While the venue had a coordinator, her role was to ensure the building was not damaged, and returned to it's original state, and she did not coordinate with the wedding party or vendors.
In addition to normal DOC responsibilities, HEART was able to assist when a strong gust of wind blew over and broke the couple's gorgeous handmade wooden arch just 30 minutes before the ceremony. HEART purchased a new arch from the venue through various exchanges, worked with the groomsmen to assess and discard the broken arch and build the new one, scavenged a drill from a waiter and tools from the florist to creat a gorgeous arch in time for the picturesque ceremony!

Other responsibilities included:
Setting up ceremony programs and reserved signs.
Coordinating for ceremony chairs to be set up.
Tore down ceremony chairs and reset at reception tables.
Verified reception tables, chair layouts, and head table assignments.
Set out lawn games.
Set out and tore down decor.
Coordinated building of a new arch plus venue logistics for purchase of new arch.
Coordinated and assisted in moving a piano and dining table in the house.
Assisted guests, and families of the bridal party with various tasks, loading vehicles, retrieving items.
Confirmed special dietary meals for the appropriate individuals.
Delivered drinks and apps to the couple during their alone time.
Delivered food to the couple for their dinner.
Tore down centerpieces.
Filmed the first dances.
And much more!

This year has been filled with many wedding firsts, including my first NH wedding!
Angela and Matt were incredible to work with and had an intimate wedding at a friend's house, complete with some awesome food truck and dessert choices!

Double header weekend!! I love love but very excited for a break today 😊
Friday night was at the GORGEOUS Tower Hill botanical gardens. The entire drive there was literal blinding rain, which ended JUST in time for the ceremony and resulted in the best weather for this lovely couple and their incredible families.
The venue was gorgeous, and the bride enhanced the natural atmosphere with simple giant hydrangea blooms from her garden.
HEART was able to assist more of the bridal party, as the venue had amazing staff. Responsibilities included:
Pinning all boutineeres.
Fashioning wrist straps and tying on the corsages.
Make shifting a lint roller to clean the pup of honor fur from the groom's clothes.
Reviewing all decor and set up components.
Assisting with gathering family for pictures.
Guiding people and the bridal party for a bubble exit.
Loading items, cake, and food into vehicles at the end of the night.
And grabbing a selfie with the lovelist mother of the groom!!

Alexi and Vinny were one of the first couples that booked me way back when I first started HEART. I'm so grateful they were willing to take a chance on me back then, and it was fitting that they were my final NE Ohio wedding as I finalize the transition to New England weddings.
The thought they put into their wedding were incredible, and their guests were certainly cared for. Covid and life threw so many curveballs at them, including several vendor subs, guest changes, and bridal party subs as well, but they rolled with the punches and never lost their cheerful demeanor.

Fabulous wedding yesterday with these awesome vendors! A DOC (day-of-coordinator) works closely with the various vendors throughout the entire day. This time last week, three of these incredible humans didn't know they'd be subbing in for their fellow vendors due to extenuating circumstances. A DOC can be very helpful in making sure that your day still goes smoothly, and be the central point of contact for the day!

June ushered in my 2022 wedding season, with the most incredible couple and bridal party I could have ever asked for!! HEART was able to ensure their nautical themed day on the most gorgeous waterfront location ran smoothly!

Hello!! My name is Jen! I'm an organized and resourceful wedding coordinator here to help your special day go as smoothly as possible!

My goal is to help the everyday bride who may feel overwhelmed ensure her day goes amazingly. I ask the questions you didn't know you needed to answer and resolve the hiccups so you'll never know they happened.

I draw from my people managing skills as the oldest of 7 children and my problem solving skills as a mechanical engineer to help relieve your wedding stress.

I work with any budget, and offer packages ranging from simply the day of services, to consulting with the DIY bride from the beginning.

I cover the Cleveland, Akron, and Canton areas.
I'm also available for bridal and baby showers.

2021 was my first full year coordinating, and it has been absolutely incredible. I'm so grateful for all the fabulous couples and their amazing friends and families I was privileged to meet and celebrate and work with this year.
As my 2021 wedding season has ended, so has my time wedding coordinating in Northeast Ohio. My full-time engineering job has taken me to the greater Boston area. I'm excited about this new adventure, and look forward to reopening my coordinating here in New England next year!

A spooky wedding to end the season! Held at a reportedly haunted state park, very Halloween themed, and my 1st non-white wedding dress and a doggo ring bearer!
Set-up all centerpieces, chargers, and favors.
Tore down all that, plus guest book and memorial table.
Set up and refilled 200 cupcakes.
Organized Pittsburgh cookie table.
Assisted bridesmaid outfits.
Coordinated with photographers, DJ, and venue on multiple items.
Queued ceremony and bridal entrances.
Assisted with family photos.

An absolutely fabulous and generous couple with a gorgeous wedding!! The weather was perfect, up until the showers started during the reception.

Responsibilities included:
Setting up the polaroid guest book and gift table. And moving it inside during the rain!
Packing said table, and loading gifts and card box into a designated vehicle.
Adding the sash to the arch. Lying the arch down during the rain, and taking down the sash.
Setting up the photo wall and tearing it down.
Coordinating with the DJs for best placement for them (including repositioning three different tables)
Set up an Insomnia cookies table.
Ensuring the bench vendors set up/tore down the ceremony seating.
Coordinating vendors to ensure everything was on time.
Taking drinks and apps to the bride and groom during pics.
Scoping out the lake for more pictures for the couple, and coordinating a ride there.
Turning on all tea and fairy lights.
Removing and sorting all centerpiece and decor elements.
Queing ceremony entrances and grand entrances.

Second wedding of the weekend with a surprise GENDER REVEAL!! Fabulous venue, great vendors, and a beautiful evening celebrating the couple and their new baby girl.

Responsibilities included:
Setting out chargers, table numbers, all centerpieces, floating candles and then tearing them all down and repacking.
Setting up sweetheart, card, and cake table.
Setting up name cards.
Setting out cookies on trays and wrapping up leftovers.
Assisted the FOG with building the arch and supervised tearing it down.
Coordinated timelines with the DJ and caterers.
Queued the reception entrances.
Assisted the couple with timeline of events and surprise gender reveal logistics prewedding.
Loaded all gifts and cards and packed all boxes of decor for the end of the night.
Helped the bride with her shoes after the shoe game, because this amazing momma stayed in her heels!!
