Putting a little flower time into my daughters lives this summer. Teaming up with Christie Divine Child Yoga & Movement to do a flower themed yoga camp. I cannot wait to combine my love of flowers and to dust off my early childhood degree for a week this summer. :)

Hi all! We’ve met a lot of new people lately and have some new followers so time to introduce again…

We are Bonnie and Danny, (this is a family biz) and we are celebrating 8 years of marriage this week So this is the couples edition of us…

We skipped town last year and moved to Michigan city Indiana. Some say we just threw a dart at the map and in some ways that is true but we found the most perfect home/flower studio/flower field that we just had to take a leap. And yes we love it here. Even if it will take us another 8 years to get it to where we want it.

We love good ole country music, spindrifts, bonfires, antique shops, documentaries and gardening.

We fight about home decorating, sugar intake, getting a dog again, and who is gonna go down and get the coffee in the morning.

I share a lot about our family and life here because we are not just pro wedding we are pro marriage. We are just at the beginning of our life together and yet it looks so different than it did 10 years ago when we got engaged. We hope you follow along long after you need us for wedding flowers because even though they are the best… every year there is a new best. A new stress, a new sharp turn of events or even a new little squishy roommate. (No not an announcement 😆). This is just a little celebration of all we’ve done to get this far, all the decisions we’ve made together. All the bonfires we’ve sat around, all the bedtime stories we’ve read, and all the dancin! We are so excited for you on your wedding day because we’ve been there. Our wedding was totally one of the most fun days of our lives. But we’re here to cheer you on after that day too cuz there’s some goood ones to come.

It’s really hard to put motherhood into words. It’s totally a IYKYK kinda place. I wish I was kinder to all the moms before I was a mom. My compassion for others certainly grew after I became a mom.

Motherhood is so full of big emotion, one minute I could cry because its hard and a minute later I could cry because it’s beautiful. And why is someone always crying!? 🤣

I am in the thick of parenting and I 100 percent need my mom lately more than ever. She is insanely generous with her love and is always there when I need her. Like when I have to set up a market first thing in the morning and i am up til 3 am filling orders and my kid spikes a fever/ear infection and she just shows up because I have to cancel your sitter.

That’s what moms do, we just keep going with a smile on like it’s all good. I totally wanted to quit my job this weekend. I was out of my lane, my kids were sick, I was disorganized and wish I had done 20 things differently. Flowers died, Most of my tulips failed in dry storage, i ran out of gas, I ran out of flowers. I can’t even believe some of the things… Anyway, if you are a part of this chaos of motherhood, I see you and salute you. This story likely doesn’t phase you because you know it well. If you are hurting today I see you too because I know this day isn’t for everyone. 💚

Stressed and blessed 4eva. As cheesy as Mother’s Day is I sure am glad it exists…For reflections, for gratitude for this season of life, for cute little handprint art that makes me weep and for me feelin like a Queen and skipping bedtime to take a bath. Cheers to the mom squad. Thanks for listening to my Mother’s Day rant, I like to think it’s poetic but it’s likely just a representation of my brain being all over the place 💚.

You probably slept in her bed and kicked her in the head all night long. She probably changed your bunkbed sheets way too many times even though she told you no more lemonade. You probably screamed at her for peeling your banana wrong. Just saying…

Don’t knock it til ya try it. I Pushed out 30 prom bouquets and bouts to go with and even if I never do it again I learned a lot! My feet and brain hurt today, wrapping my head (and ordering) around all these palettes was a lot. But it was a lot of fun, a little more nerve racking because I aim to please and 60 clients and their moms(quite literally) is a lot harder than 1 couple and their mom lol. Anyway Twas fun, verdicts out on if we do it next year. But glad I know the ropes now. And howwww pretty are these? I’m obsessed. Definitely a glow up from our prom days.

And cheers to having a Friday and Saturday off this weekend. ✌🏻

I forgot how much work happens in the “quiet” season. All the behind the scenes. Endless calls and preparations, proposals and mood boards and edits for every single event. I am buttoning up all the plans and while I have amazing help, I am the one behind every phone call, every mood board, every email. We just aren’t at a place where I can hand these tasks off yet.

Getting our hands in the dirt is the best little break. It’s important work because these varieties are the special little cherries on top of all our weddings. And these rows give me hope that our flowers will reach so many more people than just our wedding clients this year. Whoop whoop! What’s your favorite flower? Maybe I’ll grow it for you!

Hey hey, happy Valentine’s Day eve.

I’m actually enjoying all these juicy colors this week. If you knew me in college you might laugh that I now spend the entire month pedaling lovey dovey flowers. In college I annually hosted the anti Valentine’s Day party, I’ve really matured 🤣✌🏻. (Aka the original galentines day party)

Bottom line is who doesn’t love and excuse to go big and celebrate? Kegs and eggs or charcuterie and tulips. You do you boo, but you must add flowers. 😘😘

A moment for Laura’s winter bundle of joy. We had so much fun flowering and celebrating Laura and Tony this weekend. After attending we got to have a couple days of rest at grandpa and grandmas house and it was great.

I Hope everyone is wrapping up a good weekend. We are hustling over here, we have one more small wedding in 2022, lots more wreaths going out this week and a couple more private parties. Wreath orders are open on the website until Friday. After that we are putting up our feet for Christmas and closing the shop until we emerge a beautiful butterfly in the spring. (Well that’s a lie we have a fun small wedding in January!) but for the most part that’s what’s goin on. So get those last wreath orders in asap! 💚💚💚

I’ve been a busy bee making wreaths all weekend and I still have a lot more to go! These are all made by hand and I’m so dorky I think about the person I’m making them for pretty much the whole time. Like “I hope this matches their style” and “how darn sweet it is that they chose to spend their money on this and with me and my little small business”. I Literally love each and every one of you that ordered a wreath or are attending a wreath party. I also equally adore the people who have commented on a reel I made or shared a post or tagged me in a post, or chatted me up in my stories. These make a small business owner just a little 🥹🥰☺️. Hi, I’m here to deliver your living art you ordered. Dropping off your bouquet is my favorite part of the day.

Something to think about when choosing your florist…You are not just picking out flowers in a specific color to match your dresses. You can go do that at the grocery store if you like. You are coordinating with an artist (hey it’s me) to perfectly curate the best and most perfect blooms (this part takes a long time) and then KEEP THEM ALIVE and artfully arrange them for you to hold and enjoy and bring life and freshness to your perfect day. So yes this service is a luxury much like getting your hair done that day so the cost may be shocking, but let me tell ya it is worth it.
I don’t know anyone who regrets spending money on flowers, mostly I hear “I wish I would have spent a little more”.

Im talking to a lot of brides lately in the early stages of planning. And I’m here to tell you you don’t need to know all the details to book your florist. In fact hiring your florist before you know what your color or vibe are can be helpful because I’m obsessed with color I would love to come up with a palette that is uniquely yours. Just like miss … she picked these awesome maids colors and gave me all her trust and this floral palette was born. And let me tell ya it was a fave.

Hi. We had no flowers this week so the Sunday night post will contain no flowers. Just these two wedding enthusiasts. I’m Bonnie and this is my hubby Danny, we are the mom and pop of Bonnie Bee Flowers.

We dance pretty much the whole time when we are wedding guests, one of us is a little more extreme, (I’ll bet you can’t guess who)

When given a dinner choice we always get two different things so we can taste both and we will be having coffee after dinner.

Our typical song requests are proud Mary and Shout.

Danny will embarrassingly follow the appetizer waiters around but he always brings me some so it’s not that embarrassing.

We LOVE weddings. That’s us at the party, are we the same? Would love to hear!

I finished processing flowers at 9:30 tonight. Pretty sure I started the process of going to Chicago to get the flowers at 9:30 this morning. A 12 hour day with stopping and starting and stopping and starting again and again. It’s annoying and frustrating at times but also why I wanted to do this. I get to pick my kids up from school and volunteer in their class. I’m around for pretty much every bedtime. I don’t cook dinner(thanks ._dlsmooth ). 😂 but I am a master of handing out snacks and cereal. Anyway this is just another post about how I love my job and how I love being a mom and how both are super crazy sometimes. I’m glad I get to do this job & I’m Glad I get to be with my kids. Glad it’s my choice when to work and not someone else’s. That’s all. ☺️
