This young lady was very apprehensive when she got up to sing her first song, so I suggested to bring the lead vocals up so she could sing with the artist (which is one feature I like about karafun) as she was singing I started bringing down the lead vocals, by her 3rd song I was knocking the lead vocals off in the first little bit....this young lady is 12 years old! She got finished with this song I got on the mic and said "Would someone please tell that girl that she can sing!"

Congratulations to our Third Round Nelson County Idol Winner Anna Hulett, it was a real tight race but in the end Anna pulled it out, again Congratulations!!!! This weekend is the final qualifying round of Nelson County Idol, there will be open Karaoke from 7-8 and 9-11 . Come out and cheer on your favorite singer. So this past Wednesday I volunteered to do a show at Heritage Green assisted living facility where my mother in law is at with dementia. It was heart breaking and heart warming at the same time, it's so sad to see a disease such as alzheimer's or dementia take the minds of those we love, but yet it was great to see some of them smiling or tapping their hands to the beat of the songs when I was singing. I would gladly do that again! So this is my mother in law dancing with another patient and a caretaker, although she didn't recognize me u think she did enjoy the music.
Had so much fun at Bold Rock Hard Cider - Nellysford, VA so glad they called and I was able to fill in...hope to make it back up there soon!

Finally got out to Forest to Apocalypse Cidery & Winery to Sweet Teaz Karaoke show..it's not just karaoke they do open mic also and what a great line up of singers and performers they had tonight...I will be making my way back across the river for this show another night!
