Finalizing the last layer for the ceiling treatment. Fitting the Luan frame plywood to the attachment points. Linear panel will have fiber optic light accent areas on a microsuede fabric and indirect LED lights along the perimeter to wash the perf-metal ceiling.

Great time at the Stones Las Vegas concert! Drove our group to the stadium to the reserved lot - started the party before we got there!

A couple of products I will incorporate in the V-V build is a portable refrigerator that can be removed and placed at a picnic site …. And lightweight / powerful portable lithium batteries. They can charge by solar panel, cigarette lighter charger, or be removed and charged by 110 outlet.

… and of course there are the outlandish celebrities with car culture. Fun!!

Southwestern artist Miguel Camarena signs his 2 Ferrari themed paintings to hang inside the Vanity-Vans showroom van to premiere at the SEMA show in Las Vegas this coming week.

We had a productive day welding the hinges on the van’s cabinet frames… and Scott jumped in to change out the front disks brakes and rotors on the Ferrari.
Better than a Nascar pit stop, he made short order of that and even repaired broken wire leads on both sensors.

Great to have a race team support member as a friend!

A huge thank you to my best friend Tom Tingle - retired photojournalist with the Phoenix Gazette after an amazing 40yr career. We went to Papago Park, hole-in-the-wall park and shot some great press images I can use for future publication.
Was a great day!

Stitching, color and function are important details when it come to seating. French seams add strength to pulling on the top seat, perforations help leather breath and stay cooler
(but weaken leather’s strength) and the red shoulders add a detail and excitement to the interior color scheme.

Finished the livery car wrap and dropped off the van for its wrap.

Cushions are now bonded to plywood base and foam will be trimmed to final configuration. Setting day bed center section to check fit. Next is upholstery!

Will be heading to SEMA in Las Vegas Nov 2-5 to display and promote Vanity-Vans custom build, find equipments and suppliers… and investigate a display booth for next year!
