Can’t decide between red and white? Discover a happy medium with dry Rosé, the ultimate wine style. It blends the freshness and vivacity found in white wine with the round richness found in red wine. Here’s more about our 2019 Lancre Rosé, Pays d’Oc IGP, a delicate yet intense holiday pink drink that has everything you’re wishing for in a wine.
This dry, classically crisp, Provencal-style pink is 85% Cinsault and 15% Syrah, sporting floral aromas brimming with juicy fruit flavors of wild berry, watermelon and citrus. Remember, the way to pronounce the place this wine is from in southern France is to say, “Pay Dock!”
Lancre was made using the Saignée method, which essentially means “to bleed off” in French. The process involves pressing red wine grapes and quickly bleeding off the first press juice—thereby limiting the juice’s contact with the tannic skins and seeds, and preserving the fresh acidity and brightness.
Animated and poised white flower aromas precede extended flavors of dominant tangy red berries over watermelon rind on the tongue.
Rosé is a naturally perfect pairing for so many styles of cuisine, from Asian flavors to a simple salad—the taste profile and structure in Rosé bring out the best in food. Lancre is a medium-bodied wine so it complements lighter foods while standing up to heartier dishes.
2019 Lancre Rosé has 12% ABV and is available for $18.99. Shop with your Wine Guide or browse our cellar via the Shop Now link on our page. As always, 6+ bottles ship free!
