🚨 Important Announcement: Beware of Scam Alert! 🚨

Dear Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center Community,

We hope this message finds you well. We want to bring your attention to a concerning matter regarding a fraudulent email that has been circulating, falsely claiming to be associated with Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center.

Scam Alert: Fake Winter Wonderland Vendor Market Event

We want to clarify that Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center is NOT hosting a Winter Wonderland Vendor Market on the 13th-14th of January 2024, as mentioned in the email below. This communication is a scam, and we urge you to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity.

Fraudulent Email Details:

Sender: States Events [email protected]
Subject: 2024 WINTER WONDERLAND VENDOR MARKET
Content: Pay $130 for a 10x10 booth space via VENMO.
Please DO NOT respond or send any payment to the provided email or phone number.

If you or someone you know has fallen victim to this scam, we encourage you to report the incident to the Madison Police Department. You can contact them at (608) 245-3662 or submit an online report at https://www.cityofmadison.com/police/sru/.

We are halfway to our goal of $10,000 donated to Double Dollars in November/December!

$5,862 has been donated so far, and the Co-op will match up to $10,000 by the end of December. The matched amount will be donated to our five food pantry partners: Goodman Community Center's Fritz Food Pantry, The River Food Pantry, Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, Lussier Community Education Center, and WayForward Resources.

Through December 31st, when you use a Double Dollars scan card, the Co-op will match up to $10,000 and donate matched funds to our five food pantry partners:
- Goodman Community Center's Fritz Food Pantry
- Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center
- The River Food Pantry
- Lussier Community Education Center
- WayForward Resources (formerly Middleton Outreach Ministry)

We'll also match donations that we make when you use your reusable bags at the Co-op! We contribute 10¢ to the Double Dollars Fund for each bag you use that save us from using a paper bag.
