July is AMERICAN GROWN FLOWER month. Texas Gardener loves and the flower farmers that grow them. We are so happy to help celebrate and promote them every year.

Do you know that only about 10% of the cut flowers sold in the United States are actually grown here? Would you rather buy a bouquet of flowers grown half way around the world, flown in air conditioned planes that are shipped to air conditioned distribution centers so they can be loaded into air conditioned 18 wheelers to be shipped out to your florist or grocery store. You have a choice when you buy flowers. Vote with your dollars by purchasing locally grown flowers from local farmers !

So happy I can share my flower field with so many pollinators!!!

Pollination produces many of our food crops, including coffee, apples, almonds, tomatoes, and cocoa — to name a few. Another reason to bee thankful for 🐝🐝! Info by PBS..

Are you all decorated for Christmas? I have to admit I haven’t even started! So busy decorating at work and for others 😂 This was my mantle last year… I have had the same faux decorations now for years and simply have adapted it to three different houses…Tip: Good quality faux greens can be a good investment- spruce them up some sprigs of fresh greens to get the scent and look of real!
