this video is my first hand account of the protests that occurred in charlotte yesterday. the charlotte protests yesterday were extremely peaceful all afternoon leading into the night.
After the main march was over, a vast majority of protestors (myself included) stayed behind to continue marching the streets of the downtown charlotte area.
after circling around a block while chanting for over an hour, cops and riot police started skewing our march path into a path of their own making.
they blocked off certain parts of intersections and weren’t letting protestors leave or stop walking.
little did we know they were corralling us to be trapped and tear gassed.

It felt like we were in a real life hunger games situation. Cops blocked all ways of exit and let no way for protestors to get out safely.

in this video you see everything leading up to the gassing of peaceful protestors.

please know that this video may be difficult to watch, but i wanted all of you to be aware of what really happens at these protests. please know that these protests are peaceful until police do things like
