Featuring art created by my Native people has always been dear to my heart. Though I am not a weaver by trade, my mother, aunts & nephew carry on these gifts. All create impeccable art each unique in stitch, pattern & design. In order to foster better accessibility to the gifts of the earth, my nephew and I transplanted swamp cane to protect it from growth management sprays. We hope it takes🤞 so he can carry on the traditions of our people. 🧡

Before the night ends, I have to show off my very own. She is beauty & grace, but darn it she is strong-willed like her momma! When I take bouquet orders, I only offer fresh florals unless silk is needed. My daughter (and my niece featured earlier) drive me bananas by requesting silk for every occasion. 😑 I guess this shows who wins this floral battle. 😆

…and the greatest of these is love ❤️ Having the privilege and honor to be a tiny part of a blessing gifted from one to another is not lost on me. The stories of love shared, love lost and love to come is truly moving. Yesterday, my heart was quickened while praying & creating this dried floral arrangement paired with a treasured memory. My heart is so full! 💕

Who can budget while in the Houston coolers?!?! I always preorder my flower pulls, but go a little crazy once I arrive. 😜 This is what my Mondays consist of - FLOWER FUN! 🥰 This week will be sheer madness with all the Kinder homecoming activities. I will be closed ALL DAY on Friday 10/22 to prep & watch my little one in the homecoming parade.
