Today we honor the sacrifices made on this date 80 years ago on June 6th, 1944, when thousands of Allied soldiers dropped from the sky into a dark unknown. Where thousands more braved the rough seas of the English channel to storm the Normandy beaches, all in an attempt to break through the 'Atlantic Wall' and liberate N**i occupied Europe. These brave soldiers put their lives on the line in order to accomplish this goal, not just for their families back home, but for all future generations. It is important to remember their stories and sacrifice in order to honor their legacy. We honor these brave soldiers with this years flyer artwork, depicting members of the 1st Infantry Division landing on Omaha Beach that fateful day. It serves as a reminder of those we lost and the significance of this major turning point of the war.

Ledo's Pizza will be serving food at our August 5th Countryside Military Show. Come out for military collectibles, vehicles, displays AND lunch! They will have pizza by the slice, Italian beef sandwiches, chicken wraps, desserts and drinks.

Less than 24 hours until the first Countryside Military Show of 2023! With a SOLD OUT show of 125+ tables of quality militaria, historical displays, military vehicles, and a food truck, this show is the biggest military collectibles show in the Chicago area! Come see what everyone is talking about! This is not one to miss! Doors open at 8:30am (7:45am Early Entry) THIS Saturday, March 18th. The hall is located at 6200 Joliet Rd. Countryside, IL 60525. We hope to see you all there!

Wishing Everyone a Happy, Healthy, and Successful New Year!

It is with a heavy heart that today we announce the passing of The Wisconsin Military Show founder, Daniel Stiglitz.

Dan started this show 5 years ago with only one goal, to bring his friends and family together for a weekend of fun and share in his love of vintage military vehicles and the hobby as a whole. To honor Dan, the show WILL CONTINUE this year as planned under the care of his family and the rest of The Wisconsin Military Show family.

In the coming days, we will be posting a fundraiser to help cover some of the expenses of the show this year to make sure that it is the best and greatest yet to honor Dan's legacy. Information for the 2023 show will be posted alongside as well.

Dan's funeral service will be held on January 13th, 2023 at St James UMC, in East Troy, WI (2945 Main St East Troy, WI 53120) Visitation will be at 10am until Noon followed by a celebration of his life.
Burial & brief presentation will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, in East Troy, WI.

If you own a military vehicle and would like to be a part of his funeral procession from the church to the cemetery, please send a message to this page and comment below so we can get in touch.

We want to thank everyone for their ongoing support of the show and being a part of what Dan considered one of the great joys of his life.

Countryside Military Show 2023 Dates

Behind the flyer artwork:
"The 1944 Battle of Monte Cassino, Italy, pitted the Allies against N**i German forces who captured a medieval monastery and turned it into a fortress which defended a road leading towards Rome. The old Benedictine abbey, perched atop a precipitous hill, proved to be a perfect stronghold for the German forces, which fended off Allied attacks for 123 days. The tables turned when Polish troops under General Władysław Anders launched their offensive on May 12 and seized the abbey by May 18, 1944. Polish troops played a pivotal role in the successful siege, but paid a heavy price for their effort. To this day, the efforts of Polish troops, in what proved to be one of the bloodiest battles of the entire conflict, remain one of the most well-known examples of wartime heroism and sacrifice."

It was a successful first year and it wouldn't be possible without the help and support of our family, dealers, reenactors, displays, vehicle owners, and, of course, the public.
