Meet Megan!
I thought it was time for me to introduce myself so you all can get to know me!
From an early age, I have always enjoyed getting friends together and orchestrating events. I love being with people, so I think that was always the driving factor behind organizing get-togethers. When I went to college at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, I began exploring different internships that related to event planning. I also started planning events for my sorority during that time which gave me valuable leadership and planning skills. After graduating with a degree in Business Marketing, I began an internship with an event company in Downtown Nashville where I planned events of all types from weddings to music industry events to bar/bat mitzvahs for almost 4 years (including planning my own wedding for 1.5 years—thanks COVID19!). In January of 2021, I decided it was time for a short break from the event industry, and I took a corporate job with Cracker Barrel Home Office on their Menu Strategy team. After a year into working for this great organization, I was ready to add in something part time where I could use my passion for weddings and events while continuing to work full time at Cracker Barrel. From that desire came the idea for First Look Wedding Consulting where I can meet with newly engaged couples in the evenings and on weekends to help guide them through the wedding planning process!
I currently live in Lebanon, TN with my husband, Connor Gaines, and our two dogs, Cash and June. I love spending time with our family and friends, going on walks with our dogs, going to spin class, and watching TV shows with my husband (current favorites are Yellowstone and 1883). I am always following wedding vendors and social media accounts to stay up on the newest tips and trends and I am so excited to be able to share my passion for events with you all to help you get started with planning one of the best days of your life!
