I love when my clients have visions that are outside of the box. When I was asked to make an arrangement for a Surrealism birthday party- I said say no more! Anthirium, Poppies, Celosia? Absolutely. A dream! Pun intended. The party, the outfits, the gallery, the photography- all 🤌🏻.

Peonies, Peonies, Peonies! They’re everyone’s must-have flower and a wedding favorite- BUT-there’s a caveat..

Here’s some need to knows about peonies from someone in the biz:

Peonies are only in season from late Spring to early Summer. April/May weddings really only benefit from the best quality peony selections.

Peonies can cost up to $10/ stem! They are not a cost efficient option for a bride on a budget- and here’s why:

Limited Availability: Peonies have a relatively short blooming season, usually from late spring to early summer. Outside of this season, they are harder to come by, which can drive up the price due to limited availability.

Labor-Intensive: Growing peonies can be labor-intensive. They require specific care and attention to thrive, which can increase the cost of production.

Fragility: Peonies are delicate flowers that do not have a long vase life compared to some other flowers. Their fragility can lead to more waste during transportation and storage, contributing to higher prices.

High Demand: Peonies are very popular flowers due to their large, lush blooms and beautiful colors. High demand can drive up prices, especially during peak wedding seasons when they are a popular choice for bridal bouquets and decorations.

Import Costs: If peonies are not locally grown, they may need to be imported, which can add to the cost due to transportation, customs duties, and other logistical expenses.

Variety: Some peony varieties are more expensive than others due to factors like rarity, size, color, or special characteristics. Certain rare or specialty peonies can command higher prices in the market.

There’s no true substitute for a peony. Garden Roses are a aesthetically similar option as they are similar in ruffled texture and size. However, they also lack cost efficiency. Depending on the Garden Rose variety, these can be up to $90/bunch of 12 stems.

Elegance with a price tag, yet undeniably charming, aren’t they?

Hi Friends! I know I don’t post very much personal content on this page, but this post is very dear to me and important for my family. Some of you know me personally, but for those that don’t- my littlest son Elliot is needing support in his journey to getting his Autism diagnosis. Elliot has been working with Early Childhood Intervention since he was 16 months old, and now that he is two he has been referred to get his official evaluation and assessment by Comprehensive Psychological Services. This diagnosis opens the door for a lot of benefits for him and for us as his caregivers. Because we own and operate a small family business ( ) we do not have insurance, and the full cost of the evaluation will be our responsibility up front. This is a huge expense for us out of pocket ($5,000), and so we have custom created these tshirts to fundraise the funds to be able to get this assessment done. It would mean the world to my family if you purchased a shirt in support of our sweet boy and autism awareness.
