✨Another GLFEE weekend in the books✨
For a weekend I look forward to all year, the 2025 Great Lakes Floral & Event Expo did not disappoint!
I had the biggest surprise of being awarded
" Young Person of the Year-2025"

It was an absolute honor to be recognized by my peers and mentors. I wouldn't have made it this far without all of them, and continuously thank them all for encouraging me to try new things and reach for new heights.
I also had the honor of teaching my first workshop at the conference, and although I was terribly nervous, it couldn't have been a better experience!
My class had of some of the best students! They all tackled their arrangements, and we all grew in confidence together. They also had me laughing and smiling the whole entire time. Such a great group!
It felt great to give back some of the knowledge after learning so much from all of them throughout the years.
The rest of the weekend was packed full of inspiring mainstage shows, workshops, our annual north central meeting, networking, and flowers everywhere!!
I am already counting the days till next year's expo and getting pretty excited about the AIFD convention this year in Palm Springs where I will be inducted!!!! 🥰
What an exciting year it has been and will continue to be 💜

☀ California dreamin' on this winters day☀
The sun is shining in Northern Michigan today and it is just what the doctor ordered!
I'll be throwing on some records and enjoying the good vibes of the day, pretending I am somewhere warmer!
Going back to R&K's wedding day as it always gives me a 60's/70's vibe with k's lace dress, this delicious earth-toned color palette, and the whimsy flowers of late summer.
This wedding is a great example of repurposing your ceremony arrangements. We ALWAYS suggest getting the most bang for your buck and one of the ways to do so is repurposing!
Here we took the arbor arrangement and fashioned it into a hanging floral cloud to adorn the head table, once the party moved inside!

After attending, volunteering, and competing for 9 years at the conference, I figured for my 10th year I would become one of the educators!

The winter solstice marks the end of the descent into darkness and the beginning of the return of light. It's a time of new beginnings, rebirth, transformation, and creativity.
