Some things take time. 🌱

✨Like growing basil from seed.

✨Like building a brand that actually feels like you.

✨Like figuring out what the heck to post on Instagram. 😅

But growth—real growth—happens when you’re patient, consistent, and give it the right environment. That applies to plants and to your business. I am such a believer that slow growth is okay and sustainable.

I have learn that from our plants!

Let it be messy. Let it be slow. Just keep watering.

Q1 was a blur and a blessing 😅

We brought in so many new social media clients (hi, dream people 🖤) that Bryan officially stepped in to help manage the madness.

Also me: squeezing in every branding shoot possible before I go full-blown baby mode in May. 👶🏼

Now we’re editing our lives away, living off snacks and Spotify playlists, and prepping the biz (and the house) for a whole new season.

Somehow doing a million things and taking more naps than ever?? Wild times.

If you’re trying to make showing up on social media consistently happen, take this as your sign to start batch creating quality content to use at a later date...

Podcasts I’m listening to this week and here’s what I got out of them 👇

1. Freelance Friday Podcast: She always has the run down of what is happening in social media and how to better serve my clients!

2. Goal Digger Podcast: Jenna Kutcher is phenomenal at branding and she is a big advocate for building a business through social media AND an email list. I have really been diving into her episodes about emails!

3. Breakthrough Brand Podcast: Elizabeth McCravy does a great job of breaking down the bts of being a business owner. She posts a lot of content about her journey as being a mom and a business owner, so obviously I have been listening to all the mom ones!

4. Online Marketing Made Easy: She is amazing and discuss all things marketing. This podcast was one of the first ones I started listening to and love the applicable steps and freebies she gives!

It’s time to face facts. The one thing that I won’t do in my small biz marketing? Is this ⬇️

❌ Rely on social media as my only marketing tool.

Here’s the thing. I completely understand the temptation to put ALL your efforts into what seems to be a platform that is really high return on investment.

Trust me, I get it.

But in all honesty – it’s this exact thing you need to STOP doing.

Why?

Because we do not control social media platforms!

One day the algorithm can play for you, the next against you. And worse, what happens if the platform disappears tomorrow altogether?! I mean, we saw that first hand with Tik Tok last week!

Sure it’s beneficial – but only in conjunction with OTHER marketing activities like email marketing or networking.

I believe in setting the example and practicing what I preach.

So it’s for the above reasons that I don’t do this.
