Spending every day outside. Becoming better at art. Finally having the time to decorate my own home. Cooking things I grew. Running. NC mountain and beach trips. And yes: guiding our clients through what might be the wildest plan B (C, D…) ever experienced: a pandemic. Finding new creativity in the where, what, when, who, and how of gatherings during this time. Learning how to be a better planner, designer, and confidant because of these challenges. For all of this, I am deeply grateful.
This month, I’m proud to say that Gather Together celebrates 10 years in business! I had envisioned a delightful party, but add that to the list of 2020 hopes that have been dashed. Mine is by far among the smallest on that list, when so many others are hurting from disease, racism, job loss, and weariness of this difficult time. I remember how small my dashed hopes are with the gratitudes above.
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU, Gather Together clients (the best!) and event partners (also the best!), for your trust over 10 years. The next 10 will, undoubtedly, be even better. Stay positive, stay celebrating. Cheers! —Chelsey

Couldn’t be more thankful for my Valentine 💘 Maybe a wedding planner shouldn’t tell you that marriage gets harder over the years, but the challenges deepen and strengthen your love in unbelievable ways. How rich my life is because of my husband and our marriage. Our little family is the greatest blessing I’ve ever known.

One of our favorite design details of all time: a custom grass and white tile checkerboard floor (yes! 😍). This anchored the garden bar-in-the-round - the happening spot all night, maybe second to the pure white dance floor under a 16 foot cluster of blush and white paper lanterns (dreams! ✨).
