This was me when I was eight years old 💙

Today is Autism Awareness Day, and I wanted to share something a little more personal. For those who may not know, I am on the autism spectrum and have Asperger’s.

Growing up, I didn’t always understand why I saw the world a little differently—or why certain things felt bigger, louder, or more overwhelming than they seemed to others. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned that being different isn’t something to hide… it’s something to embrace.

Being on the spectrum has shaped who I am in so many ways. It’s given me a unique perspective, creativity, focus, and a strength I didn’t even realize I had when I was younger. Yes, there have been challenges—but there have also been so many moments of growth, confidence, and learning to be proud of who I am.

That 8-year-old version of me was just beginning her journey. Today, I stand stronger, more confident, and excited for what’s ahead—especially as I get ready to graduate and continue chasing my dreams.

Autism is not something that holds me back—it’s a part of what makes me, me 💙

Today isn’t just about awareness… it’s about acceptance, understanding, and celebrating the beauty in being different.

What an unforgettable experience at Florida State Thespians 💙🎭

This year was extra special—my last time attending as a senior in Theatre Marketing, and what a way to go out! From our group of 10 students (with 6 competing in various events), every single one of us showed up, supported each other, and made memories I’ll carry forever.

From walking what felt like miles between the Tampa Convention Center and the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, to attending workshops, watching incredible performances, and sharing dinners together—it was more than a competition… it was an experience.

I am so proud to have earned another Superior rating this year. It truly means so much, but what means even more are the friendships, the growth, and the journey that brought me here.

Thank you to Mr. Underwood for giving me the opportunity to end my senior year with such an amazing experience. And to Mr. Nason—thank you for introducing me to Thespians in middle school… you sparked something in me that never faded. I hope I made you proud.
To my fellow Thespians—especially the underclassmen—keep shining, keep growing, and never give up. Be proud of your talents and everything you bring to the stage.

🎭 Signing off as a senior…
District 14 | Troupe 8658
Forever grateful. Forever a Thespian.

Getting ready to perform my presentation for Theatre Marketing for Once On This Island.

Tomorrow is Monday… school is calling, senior year is flying by, and this high school senior better check the rearview mirror for skeletons. 💀🎓

🎤Sound check = the only time whispering, yelling, singing, and random noises are all equally acceptable.

I’m so happy I had the chance to take the stage alongside so many amazing singers. As a senior, I will always carry the memories of all the incredible times I’ve shared with these performers. While I’m a little sad I won’t be performing onstage this time, I’m truly grateful to step into the role of sound technician for our upcoming production of Mamma Mia this April.

It was truly an honor to sing “The Life I Never Led” on stage last night. The experience and emotion of being under those lights, sharing that moment, is something I will forever hold close to my heart. Thank you, Mr. Underwood, for giving me this incredible opportunity during my senior year and for believing in me. I am beyond grateful. 🎤

Though my Pop Pop Chuck is no longer with us, his band stool remains a heartfelt reminder that he is always with me, watching over me as I grow and learn new things. I love you and miss you! ❤️🥹
