My first Saturday off since July!

Thankful to get the weekend off to hang with my family. We’ve got some basic fun plans we don’t usually get to do together: our local farmer’s market, some shopping just for fun, maybe a hike, church, and then I’m headed to a card show to checkout some inventory my collection!

Weddings like this don’t happen every weekend.⁠

Getting to hang with Flannery & Tomas almost 1 year after being with them at Flannery’s sister Ryan’s wedding and create freely was incredibly special. These two have been so intentional and gracious throughout the wedding process and it shows in their images. ⁠

Their wedding squads were open and fun as well so the whole day it felt like we were one big family. Once the party time came, it was packed! Here are a few of my favorites from their day :) ⁠

Something you may not know about me...⁠

I used to play guitar/drums in numerous metal bands! I even got lucky enough to go on a small tour during college. What does this have to do with weddings? Just that I’m not afraid to get out on the dance floor to hangout with you AND get some incredible candid moments!⁠
⁠

“We knew Adam was going to be phenomenal, but he really exceeded our wildest dreams. He communicated with us multiple times before the wedding and he knew exactly what to ask facilitate what we wanted expertly. Adam was super fun out on the dance floor and was not afraid to really get involved to get the best candid shots. He has a natural talent when looking for what will make a great photo and he captured the vibe of the event perfectly. Adam and his team made us feel very relaxed both before and during the wedding, always giving us clear directions while simultaneously making us feel comfortable. Adam and his team were organized and efficient, especially when the bridal party was running very late and we had to squeeze in some quick photos. Beyond anything else, these are the best wedding photos we’ve ever seen. They are simply amazing. You are absolutely getting the best product available when you sign up with Adam. Even the posed wedding party and family photos were incredible. We had a large party and family, so we weren’t sure how those group photos were going to look. Prior to the wedding, we thought of these large group shots as more mandatory than additive. But, these ended up being some of our favorites! We cannot recommend Mason Photography enough. This team has raised the bar in wedding photography and you will be thrilled you went with them!!”

How excited I am for NYC this weekend!

With a rare Fall weekend off, I’m so pumped for a relaxing weekend to catch up on some of my favorite things and a trip with the family!

This weekend looks like:
• Farmers market in our small town that Alex loves
• Doing my first trade night at my local card shop!
• Going to one of our buddy’s birthday party
• Headed to NYC for a few days! It will be Alex’s first time!

Can’t wait! I’ve been to NYC a ton but always like hearing folks latest recommendations: What’re your favorite spots?

With Fall upon us, it feels like every day is wedding day. Thankfully, I embrace that and Hawk & Sara’s epic day made it even better. Weddings where traditions are thrown to the wayside, couples get ready in an art classroom, and do family photos with the sound of a carousel in the background are what doing your own wedding day is all about. I wouldn’t have it any other way. ⁠

Despite us not meeting until the day of, Sara & Hawk quickly felt like fun friends who included me in their very large, smiling friend group. It’s amazing what happens when you and your photographer are friends as opposed to vendor/clients. ⁠
