Alright friends, let’s get down to the nitty gritty, something so UN-glamorous that you have probably tried to block it out of your mind: the structure of your wedding cake (and equally UN-glamorous is my photo of said structure 😂). Your wedding cake is much like your body in that it needs good “bones” to stand upright and make it through the day until you and your new spouse (🎉🎉) cut it. Each tier needs support by way of a cake board and dowels as well as a center support for transportation and structure. Without these things, you will end up with a cake wreck which is NOT what anyone wants on their wedding day! As you interview cake vendors, make sure you ask them about their cake structure and what they do to ensure the cake doesn’t collapse (😱). File this information under “The More You Know.”

As we enter Phase 3, and weddings start to pick back up again, here are some tips for keeping bugs away from your food and guests at your outdoor wedding. We love our two legged (and four legged) guests but we do NOT want any six legged guests joining in the festivities if we can avoid it!
