My Trivia Live with MC AC

Love trivia but not your typical mundane and monotone hosting? Experience a difference at my shows! I have been with My Trivia Live since September 2018.

I started hosting live trivia back in October 2015 after playing the game for a couple years at the Basement Burger Bar in Canton. One of the last things to check off my "bucket list" is to become a contestant on Jeopardy! Naturally, I LOVE trivia and like to host trivia shows because it is fun for me, I don't just do it for the money. When I'm on the mic, you will hear my love for the game. Unlik

e many trivia hosts, I don't just read off Q&A in a rapid, monotone voice to get the game over with as quickly as possible. I get into the game because it is a huge part of my life that I enjoy and am thankful for. I also like to engage with my players and try to cater my show to them, such as the music played between questions and type of attempted humor I use. My current shows that I host are:

1. Oak Lanes in Westland on Mondays, start time of 7 pm
2. Sports Venue in Garden City on Tuesdays, start time of 7 pm
2. Elks Lodge in Livonia on Saturdays, start time of 6:30 pm

MAGNUM OPUS

Perfection was achieved tonight at Oak Lanes as On a Mission scored 146 points! This wasn't their first time attaining the seemingly impossible perfect game but just as satisfying, I'm sure. Congratulations team and we are all believers now that you were "On a Mission", possibly from a higher power!

ALERT ALERT!!!

The trivia show at Oak Lanes in Westland will be cancelled tonight (Monday 7/15) due to a special bowling tournament being held at the alley. I can't wait to see ya'll back week for our weekly 2 hours of mental stimulation. 😉

EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT!

The "Where's Fred?" team just did what they do best again at the Livonia elks show tonight---had a PERFECT game! After not even coming in the money last week, they had something to prove tonight and they did just that, in commanding fashion, I might add. Congratulations are in order for a team that is no stranger to the elusive perfect game. Congrats team and let's see if you can repeat next week, no pressure though. 😉

I hope everyone is having a fun and relaxing holiday weekend! Do you have any plans this Monday 5/27, which is Memorial Day? If not, why not get a round of trivia in to stimulate the 'ole brain and break free from all that barbecuing? Oak Lanes bowling alley in Westland will be open and having their weekly trivia game. Come on out and get your trivia on while competing for one of three gift cards ($30 for 1st place, $20 for 2nd place, and $10 for 3rd place). The game starts at 7 pm and the fun starts at 7:01 pm! 🫣

How do we spell perfection? M O K A T!!! Why, because that team achieved perfection last Saturday night at the Livonia Elks. With just 4 players, they got every question correct, including the big, bad final question. Some said it couldn't be done but MoKat knew better and proved it. Congratulations team and I look forward to witnessing something so unfrigginbelievable from ya'll again!!

Greetings my fellow trivia trailblazers! Our trivia show at the Livonia Elks tomorrow (Saturday 1/20/24) will start at 7:30 pm, not the usual 6:30 pm. I hope you are able to brave the cold and join me for our weekly Q&A powwow session tomorrow!

Like football? Love trivia? Why not enjoy both?! Come on out to Oak Lanes in Westland tomorrow night and play a game of trivia while watching the U of M game! The trivia game starts at 7 pm and the football game starts at 7:30 pm. It's not often that we are able to enjoy the best of both worlds but this is one of them so you might as well take advantage of it. Hope to see you then! 😉

CALLING ALL MUSIC BUFFS!

The Livonia Elks lodge will be holding their annual music trivia show on Wednesday (11/22/23), which is the day before Thanksgiving. Please come join us and test your knowledge about all things music! It's free to play and the top three teams win cash prizes. I created all the questions and there will be a song played during each question that will act as a "lead-in" to the answer in some way, shape, or form to help you out. The trivia show starts at 7:30 pm. However, there will be a chili cook-off being held beforehand that starts at 6:30 pm. So come for the chili cook-off and/or the trivia show and have some fun before the arduous, and sometimes stressful, Turkey Day that will follow. 😁

1. You DO NOT have to be a member of the Elks Lodge to play
2. This music trivia game DOES NOT count toward MTL league play

PINNACLE

I only give credit where credit is due and after my show at the Livonia Elks on Saturday, credit is due. Keerok achieved perfection that night by reaching a score of 146, which is the zenith of a MTL trivia game! The team's core members (Erik, Rob, and John) were joined by their buddy, James, that night, who was in town vacationing for the week. This wasn't the first time that Keerok has achieved this magnificent feat so some might say that James didn't play a part in the team's perfect game. However, others might say that, if nothing else, James provided the motivation needed to help Keerok rise to the occasion and play their best game. Either way, everything came together just right for the team so that they were able to accomplish what most teams are never able to. Hopefully, they will be able to play at their best again this Saturday when they compete for big money at the MTL Fall Tournament.

Congratulations on your perfect game Keerok and I hope you kick some b***y at the upcoming tournament!

MAD SHOUT OUT TO THE BOOKHOUSE BOYS!!!

The Bookhouse Boys just achieved their trivial magnum opus tonight at Sports Venue by scoring a perfect game of 146! They were able to accomplish this feat without one of their star players too, which makes it all the more impressive. Although, Paul wasn't able to join them, the team was still able to rally together and muster up enough brain power to reach a score that most find impossible to do, at least without cheating. It doesn't get any better than this for the team so one must wonder, where do they go from here? Will they return next week and repeat the seemingly impossible feat or will they fade away into obscurity? There is only one way to find out and that is to join in on the action next Tuesday at Sports Venue and see if your team can knock them off their lofty pedestal!

Congrats Bookhouse Boys and I am honored to have been hosting the show where you were able to achieve the pinnacle of trivial perfection!
