My absolute favorite kind of moments are where the joy and love is felt truly and deeply. While I love a pretty portrait, authentic moments, hands down beat any standard wedding portrait pose. I absolutely loved spending the evening with Shelli and Jaden and their sisters as they tied the knot!

A HUGE congratulations to Melissa and Justin on their beautiful elopement! I think everyone had chills as Melissa walked down the “aisle” to the sound of the Native American flute dancing through the red rock canyon.

Melissa and Justin! You two make such a beautiful couple together and I’m so happy your roadtrip to the Southwest included your magical wedding in Sedona!!

Savannah and Kyle! Their wedding is proof that you can have a stress-free, fun wedding, filled to the brim with love and joy.

Their micro-wedding had me covering a bit of prep at their Airbnb with the best unplanned unforgettable moments like Savannah excited to finally be in her wedding dress with mom and sis helping. And the moment where on the way to Kyle seeing Savannah in her wedding dress for the first time, she was cheered on by her family.

Savannah’s sweet sister crying happy tears and comforted by dad. And of course the gorgeous ceremony on Merry Go Round and the beauty of the location that was only eclipsed by how much happiness and loved Savannah and Kyle shared with each other.

It’s an absolute joy to witness and capture so many memories with the sweetest couples!

Not only are these two 🔥 but they are also the kindest souls 💗🥹 We had a timeline call today and went over all details to make sure the photo schedule meshes with all the timeline pieces that Shannon at Casey Green Weddings is coordinating. It takes a village and lots of attention to detail but planning ahead makes all the difference on a wedding day. I have no doubt it will be the most amazing day at Agave of Sedona Wedding & Event Venue and the chapel at Tlaquepaque Weddings!

A few favorites from joy filled day filled with lots of love from Nichole and Daniel’s beautiful wedding at Agave of Sedona Wedding & Event Venue!

Top favorite moment was just how giddy Nichole was after the ceremony. Her joy could not be contained and it was such an honor to witness their happiness and love. Another favorite moment was listening to the Best Man speech! It was one of the best Best Man toasts I’ve heard. 🥹🥹🥹

Nichole and Daniel! Thank you for not caring about the rain! You both were a troopers climbing up for those red rock photos! Daniel, in those slick dress shoes and Nichole with the soaked train. You both did great! I can’t wait for you to see the full set of images!!!

Some favorites from my winter engagement session with these two cuties. Brooke and Zach are old souls and have such a sweet way of loving each other! Looking forward to their wedding this summer in Utah! Brooke’s aunt is a wildly talented designer Kim Duncan Design so we know it’s gonna be a extra pretty day. But most importantly this family is so loving so the wedding day will surely be full of amazing meaningful moments.

Remember the atmospheric river in California? Normally I wouldn’t be worried about rain in Sedona but this storm was huge and I knew it wouldn’t just be scattered showers. But prayers were answered and most of the rain hit the day before Devon and Mike’s elopement and their decision to stay the course was a good one because look at how beautiful the clouds were on their wedding day!!! Just stunning and gorgeous like their love for each other!

Devon and Mike! Thank you for hanging in there through the cold and for keeping focused on your love and joy for each other! It was absolutely beautiful to witness and capture!

Rachel and Carson and their puppy Tiberius (what a good boy)! The rain was meaningful because her Rachel’s sister loved the rain. When it began to rain they laughed and embraced it. Special touches like their grandparents wedding rings, that are now their wedding bands, were thoughtfully incorporated in their day. They surrounded themselves with love by just having their immediate family with them. These kinds of days that are focused on what is most important in life make my heart so happy! Congratulations Rachel and Carson! You sure do know how to celebrate love in the most beautiful way!

Of the 800+ weddings and elopements we’ve photographed over the years, only a handful have been for local couples. Fate brought Emily and Mike to Sedona where they met and then fell in love. Their story and vows are absolutely beautiful and you can go to to hear part of it. It was an honor to work with these two beautiful humans. Thank you so much Emily and Mike we loved being a part of this emotion and love filled day.

Loved loved loved shooting Veronica and Fernando’s adventure elopement in Sedona!! Their family traveled from across the wold to tour of the Southwest. They ended their tour with the highlight of the trip, wedding vows in Sedona with the most beautiful views of the red rocks!

It’s been minute. Actually a long time since we’ve posted. It’s been a crazy busy two years and the thing that had to go was social media. But we’re coming up for air and have so many amazing love stories from amazing couples like this to share.

This wedding is actually the perfect parallel to what the last two years were for us. We had the best laid plans and then it rained and poured. We laughed and loved and did our best through it all and it turned out to be more beautiful than we could have imagined.

Now to Emily and Chinmay. We photographed their wedding at their family home and they had the sweetest first look and private vows at a neighbor’s home. It truly was a beautiful and unforgettable day.

Emily and Chinmay’s wedding hit all the high notes of what a wedding should be about. Overflowing with love and precious unscripted moments with family and friends. Even when heavy rains fell and the outdoor reception had to be moved inside (a huge kudos to the amazing Alysia at , the outstanding team, and working in the rain and for everyone making the impossible, possible) friends, family and vendors were fixed on celebrating and loving Emily and Chinmay.

Congratulations to Travis and Elizabeth! They met by chance while at a resort in Phoenix and liked each other so much that they stayed up all night talking until sunrise. Travis planned every meaningful and thoughtful surprise trip to Az. He proposed at the same resort and had a sunrise photo session in Sedona... sunrises are special to them. The trip ended at the Hoover Dam because the both love romantic comedies and one of Elizabeth’s favorites is Fools Rush In. So happy for these two who found their own better than the movies love story with each other! Travis you are one sweet man to have thought through each detail of the trip and I so very much appreciate you having had me as a small part of your journey together!

The unexpected surprises are what make life extra sweet. I’m pretty sure Anna didn’t expect to fall in love with a bartender from the UK while living in Laos. When we had a schedule in place and were all ready to go to celebrate their wedding last year with family and friends coming from all over the world, we definitely weren’t able to foresee a pandemic come to knock those plans out of place. All the while these two were cheerful and hopeful and amazing. They quietly had a sweet courthouse wedding and planned to celebrate this spring but a beautiful surprise came along in form of a baby bump! We hiked up to a special spot and they shared the most beautiful vows over flowing with emotion and love. I am so happy to know these two beautiful souls! Congratulations Anna and Graham!!!

Kris and Corey and their most adorable ring bearer, jeeps, and some amazing views. When you have your sister marry you and your nephew be your ring bearer on a mountain top that’s special to you, getting married doesn’t get much easier, more fun, or more beautiful than this! Katie and Ryan’s incredible elopement on Merry Go Round Rock. It was absolute perfect in my book because of how emotive and deep into being present in the experience Katie and Ryan were. They had the BEST time and it shows! Katie didn’t get frustrated by her veil flying around ... she embraced it and said it was just like her sister who she borrowed it from. Loved being a part of this wedding! So happy for you Katie and Ryan!

On a side note ... I debated on posting the opening photo. I’ve seen this framed photo many times before. It makes sense to do because of the way the light is there. But it takes time to make and happens to be only accessible on a very steep rocky hillside. We had time that day so I committed to making the photo. Not sure I’ll ever do it again because it’s actually pretty dangerous to get to this spot. It turned out pretty though and I’m glad I was able to make the photo for Katie and Ryan.

Also, hire local and give your photographer make sure to book enough time to make lots of photos. It’s fun to explore and sparks a lot of creativity when we have more time to shoot. 🤗

2021 !!! Thanks to so many amazing couples that trusted us and collaborated to create some beautiful photos in 2020. While I’m exhausted, on many levels, I’m glad to have had a chance to rest and we are so excited for 2021. I’m so grateful to have crossed paths with so many couples like Alyssa and Mike this past year. You all trusted me to guide you up mountain sides, around crowds, worked through weather (wind and cold and heat and rain) and kept focused on what mattered turning bumps in the year into beautiful moments. For our couples that postponed to 2021 we can’t wait to celebrate with you. Sending you all love.
