What does your milkshake bring to the yard? Ours brings smiles, sweet tooths, and of course, boys. 🕺 For a private dinner/birthday party last weekend, instead of cakes and candles to celebrate the birthday girl, we made her favorite - Double Chocolate Shakes with Salted Fudge and all the fixings. It’s a fast and inexpensive way to add elevated fun to any celebration and we love anything that steals the show while keeping stress levels low. That’s kind of our whole MO here at Aisling Creative. Snag the recipe below!
(Yields 4 Milk Shakes)
• One 1.75qt container of Mudslide Chocolate Ice Cream
• 2 cups whole or 2% milk
• 1/2 cup store bought fudge sauce
• 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
• Whipped cream topping
• Mallow cream + sprinkles
• Maraschino cherries + chocolate chip cookies
• 4 tall milkshake glasses (I got these bad boys at the Dollar Tree for a buck a piece 🤙🏻)
Rim each glass with mallow cream and dust with sprinkles while the cream is still super tacky. After all glasses are finished, pop them into the freezer to firm up the cream and get the glasses nice and chilled for our milkshakes! Now, into a full sized, high powered blender (I use a Ninja and it’s legit) dump in the whole container of ice cream, both cups of milk, the fudge and the sea salt and blend that beauty on high for one full minute. You want it silky smooth and creamy. Add more milk if needed to get your desired consistency. Once smooth and delicious, pour equally into milkshake glasses but not quite all the way up to the top - leave about 1/2 an inch. (Any left in the blender is yours. You’ve earned it.) Here comes the fun part - next add your whipped topping, wedge a cookie into the cream and then finish with a cherry and even more sprinkles! Enjoy!
Love, Team Aisling ✨
