Ben Sweat Ballroom Dance Scholarship Fund at BYU In memory of Ben Sweat, we have a created an Endowed BYU Ballroom Dance Scholarship Fund in his name. Ben Sweat was an amazing Ballroom Dancer.

We have a created a BYU scholarship fund in honor of his recent passing on Oct 24, 2022. We hope to raise $75,000 so we can give out scholarships forever based on the interest earned, estimated to be $3000 a year forever. We hope to honor his name by blessing the lives of others in the education of others through dance.

Thank you again to all those who have contributed to Ben's Scholarship Fund. We look forward to keep his legacy alive by helping others in dance education.

We have created a Fan page for Ben's Scholarship Fund at BYU. I hope others can share any dance photos or videos of Ben by uploading them onto this page.
In the future, we hope to spotlight those who are rewarded the Ben Sweat Ballroom Scholarship and can share their experience of how it has influenced their lives.
Many have asked how the Endowed Scholarship process works.
All donations are collected and handled by BYU's Philanthropies Department. Once we reach our minimum goal of $75,000 within a 5 year period, we have to wait 1 year before the Interest earned is used in issuing scholarships. Estimated to be $3000 a year is to be given out forever with Ben's name on it long past any of us are around.
