DOG FOOD ALERT!!!!! The FDA has issued a MANDATORY recall on SportMix dog food all varieties on August 17th. It contains a mold that is deadly to dogs, Alfatoxin. As of August 17th it has killed over 200 dogs and made hundreds more ill. Tractor Supply had this in their store last night and someone bought a bag. I am sure the person who bought the bag of SportMix thought I was crazy at first chasing her down in the parking lot. I had to urge the night manager at Tractor Supply to pull it after showing her on the FDA site how dangerous this is for dogs in small amounts.
If you have this dog food- take it back and get a refund.

EGGS!!!!! It's that time of year again, the girls are laying like crazy. We have cage free, hormone free fed chicken eggs. They are FREE. Just text me at the Magnolia's number or private message and I can put them out front of the gate and you can drive by and pick them up once I confirm I received your message. Please bring your own egg/cartons or box. I will have them in a cooler to keep them cool.

Huge thanks to Independent Glass for coming out today and doing a wonderful job!!!! Brad and his team got the mirrors up (the one in the library is 6 feet tall) Changed out the antique Cherry wood mantel, and got the mirrors up for the Bridal House. They did an awesome job and really were attentive to taking care of all the antiques around them. We are getting closer to opening!!!!!!

We have been working hard on getting the place in shape for Spring and Summer. The electricians worked all day Saturday wiring the old house. The Federal House was built ~1824; It's an old dogtrot. It will be ready in the late Spring to host your weddings/receptions and events.

Eggs- The Girls have taken a much needed break from egg production after Easter, but we will have free fresh eggs back out at 8 am Saturday morning. We had a couple of deliveries to some folks in the area, and glad they can be used by anyone who needs them. Yesterday we added 6 new members to the family. They are sending everyone a virtual group hug- from the fur and feather kids at The Magnolias.

The free range chickens were practicing their social distancing in the yard, and one tragically got taken by a hawk. That didn't sway the girls, they new Easter was coming and have been doing their part with over a dozen a day. I have about three dozen I put out this morning. Javier the duck could not be outdone, and she laid one duck egg I put out, but marked as a duck egg. When I was little, my dad used to make fried duck egg sandwiches with fried beef liver, and gravy on a biscuit. (i would say it's an acquired taste...) I moved the cooler with the eggs by my gate keypad- more shade. Happy Easter!!!!

Happy EASTER !!! Hi all, I missed some egg requests,:(
The eggs will be out now every day by 8 am in front of my gate. First come first serve. These are fresh eggs for folks. IF you want eggs JUST for coloring: I have plenty older eggs (one week, or 10 days old) message me and I can give you plenty. Please reserve the eggs in the cooler for folks who are eating them. :) I have put small cardboard boxes and bubble wrap, no need to return it. There are about 2 dozen eggs every morning out in front of my gate, so no worries about disturbing anyone if you stop by to pick them up. Enjoy!!!!
