Just like that year #3 is in the books. This weekend we headed down to B-Town to compete with the Kentuckiana BBQ Pitmasters boyz for the Veteran’s BBQ Cook-Off and also the Kentuckiana “King of the Q” Series Finale. Heading in second overall behind our boy/mentor Dave White, we knew we had to bring it. With many of our family/friends right there with us and some new flavor profiles from the best pallet in the game, we pulled off a GC call to close out the year. 🏆 Shoutout to Harley-Davidson of Bloomington for hosting us and Master Rentals for putting out some sweet hardware!

With the GC call, 1st Place ribs, 2nd Chicken, and 2nd pork in B-Town, the roller coaster of emotions started to set in as we awaited the final standings for the King of the Q Series. When it was all said and done, we finished 2nd overall for the series behind the Great White Smoke BBQ Company LLC -Catering and Food Truck squad. Huge congrats to their team and all other competitors on the series this year. It’s definitely a year we will never forget. Shoutout to our boy Charles Gordon for making the trip down and hangin with the teams. Also want to thank Dave and Charles for being incredible mentors to us and taking us under their wing.

Awesome time in Linton this weekend wit the Kentuckiana BBQ Pitmasters boyz for Smokin' & Jokin' BBQ and Comedy Festival. Our boy Derek McKee is an incredible host and we’re thankful we were able to get back to this one.

Unfortunately for the competition we came up short this time, but it’s never a bad day when you get to spend time with friends/family! We can’t say enough how thankful we are that they love this as much as we do and continuously drive hours to come support us. It’s appreciated beyond words.

Shoutout Jacob Gerkin on the GC and our boy Dave White on the RGC. Great cook fellas!

Our next and final stop this year will be at the Harley-Davidson of Bloomington for the season finale.

Late to the party as usual but wanted to post about the incredible weekend we had down at Hog Days of Summer this year. This will always be one of our favorites considering this is where it all started 3 years ago.

This year we took RGC behind our buddy Mad Ab’s BBQ. We felt good about the cook and the scores showed. Shoutout to our family/friends who love this hobby as much as we do and for always showing out! Love y’all! 🔥

Reminiscing on the incredible time we had at Hoosier BBQ Classic in Franklin a few weeks ago. We felt like this was one of, if not the best box we’ve turned into the judges yet. If you know competition bbq, that’s usually when things end up opposite of where you want them lol. The feeling we felt hearing our name called for a 7th place rib in a field of all Pro teams is something we’ll never forget.

Tonight we got everything we’ve accomplished the last two years hung up. It’s pretty surreal to look back on the time we sat in our garage and saw Hog Days of Summer post on Facebook and thought, “why not?” Neither one of us with a bit of experience, just a passion for cooking and wanted to see what the competition world was all about. Borrowed a trailer and set off for Loogootee with nothing but an offset, rack of ribs, and a pork butt. Still very new to the competition trail, we’re very thankful for everyone we’ve met, the family/friends that support us, and the relationships we’ve made that will last a lifetime. We’ve had endless support from all of you and we’re looking forward for what’s to come.
