Great to see the show up for Zavala’s Bash 5.0! This event is a fundraiser for the Zavala Family Foundation that helps folks from the restaurant industry who are battling cancer. Food was provided by and - Hudson approved!!! Awesome drinks served up at the bar at .gp 🥃🍻

Was literally in the neighborhood today and had to pop in to get a quick look at the soft opening. Luckily I got to try the pork belly porchetta for the first time 🤌🏽 It’s unlike anything else I’ve had out in bbq land. Most joints would have this as a one-off special but look for it on the menu every day!! Looking forward to my next visit and really giving that bourbon bar a good Tour de Brix! Congrats again and you’re awesome Brix Squad! (Oh, and there’s proper merch too!) 👊🏼

Had a blast cooking this spread for our end of year baseball party: pork spareribs, beef plate ribs, Texas style pulled pork (no shame in my snowballed pulled pork game), chopped brisket, and sliced brisket. Great reviews all around which is always flattering. But people raved about the pork spareribs sauced with that magic sauce!!🔥🔥

Got to celebrate a great achievement of a colleague last week and we just happened to be in the neighborhood of 💯
He had never been there so it was great introducing him to one of the best joints around these days. Finally got around to trying the turkey along with some of that akauishi lean brisket, a couple ribs, and street corn. Anything pastrami continues to elude me. One day…🔥

Found myself in ‘s neck of the woods today and introduced some friends to this Texas Monthly top 50 joint. Went with the Thursday mexique special taco as well as the Chickalicious sandwich. Side game was strong with some brisket chili mac and sweet potato praline. Absolutely fan-taste-tic!🔥

“The Stroll”, named after Canadian Lance Stroll, , comes a maple sweet scotch egg topped with a pork belly burnt end 🐷🇨🇦
“The Checo”, named after Sergio Perez, , the Mexican Minister of Defense, uses a chorizo cheddar sausage from Vaqueros and is topped with a chorizo popper. We add a little kick to this one to wake up your taste buds!!🔥🇲🇽
Both are smoked then glazed with a complementing bbq sauce. They’re always a crowd favorite 🙌🏼🙌🏼
