El verano es la estación favorita de las parejas que quieren casarse. La ceremonia celta del matrimonio se llama Handsfasting, unión de manos. Las primeras uniones solían durar un año y un día, donde ahi la pareja tenía tiempo de conocerse y decidía si querian hacer un pacto más duradero. Como casi todas las costumbres celtas, el rito completo es un tanto desconocido, aun así se ve en la mitología irlandesa y en movimientos druídicos modernas bodas celtas que son bastante interesantes y pueden aproximarse a ceremonias originales. Además no discrimina, todxs son bienvenidxs a casarse a través de esta ceremonia, que además no te hace parte de religión alguna.​​​​​​​​

La Ceremonia Celta del Matrimonio tiene un significado más profundo que el que se le da en otras religiones actuales. El ritual de la unión de manos o Handfasting es una antigua costumbre celta en la que las parejas unen sus manos con un lazo como símbolo de eternidad. Según los celtas, dos almas se unen para que sus fuerzas y cualidades se dupliquen y suplan sus carencias y defectos con el apoyo y aprendizaje del otro. ​​​​​​​​

El rito consiste en atar literalmente las manos entrelazadas de la pareja formando un ocho (símbolo del infinito que simboliza la unión del masculino Sol y la femenina Luna) mientras se miran a los ojos y se prometen estar unidxs. ​​​​​​​​
