The day may have looked different than what Courtney and Devon originally planned, but let me tell you - there was an exciting electricity that coursed throughout the whole afternoon making it nothing short of magic! These two truly have such a special, beautiful love and it was such a joy to be there to capture it during their intimate garden ceremony.

I think we can all agree that the days feel a little long lately as we wait out this pandemic and crave a sense of normalcy and routine once again. And although it’s sometimes hard to see the light amidst it all, we’ve found that there are always touches of brightness surrounding us if we just take the time to look.

Emily and Wesley’s wedding was certainly one of those beams of light. ✨ They decided to forgo their original wedding plans and instead have an intimate ceremony for now, with a bigger celebration to follow next year. Although the day may have looked different than what they had initially planned, it was just oh so beautiful and special and sweet! These two radiated love and light the entire day and when we watch this video back, it makes our hearts soar.

Do weddings look a little different right now? Yes! Do we wish things were back to normal? Of course! But weddings are indeed still happening and there are definitely still reasons to celebrate. There is still good. There is still light. We’ve been a little quiet on these squares the past few days. Our hearts have been heavy and it just hasn’t felt right to post business as usual. We wish we had the magic fix or the right words to say to help heal the brokenness that’s happening across America right now, but we don’t. What we do have though is a willingness to listen, an urgency to learn and a desire to do more.

How can it be that Danny and Emily’s gorgeous Winter wedding was nearly a full YEAR and a half ago?! They had some unexpected rain on their big day and had to move their ceremony inside, but they didn’t blink an eye at it! It’s no secret that the wedding industry has been rocked during this pandemic. Times are strange and celebrations currently look a bit different, but one thing remains the same - love! Is that a little cheesy? Sure! But it’s true! 🤎

Whether you have a ballroom filled with guests or just a handful of family members gathered around you, the love between you and your significant other cannot be broken. It’s strong and beautiful and consistent and stands tall and true in a time when so many other things seem hazy. It’s been a while since we’ve formally introduced ourselves on these little squares, so we thought today would be a perfect day to say hi! 👋🏽 We’re the little fam that makes up Wayfarer Film Co. and we thank our lucky stars that this is what we get to do for a living!

Ben started Wayfarer back in 2017 after he immigrated here from Australia! I (Ashlea) am from Jax originally but had lived with Ben in Australia for a couple years after our 2014 wedding. Fast forward to 2020, we added our sweet baby Mia to the family, settled down in the Riverside area and are having the best time dreaming up ways to grow this business! ✨ Ben is the main force behind the biz, but I’m slowly transitioning from running my own business to joining up with him to help run Wayfarer! I can’t wait to settle into my new role! 🥰

A few things that we’re really into right now as a family: Sipping on Bold Bean Coffee while strolling around our neighborhood, filling our house with new plants, making Mia giggle, eating our weight in banana bread and virtual game nights! 🙌🏽

We love the joy that flows from a reception! Everyone’s playful side emerges as they dance and eat and drink and celebrate. ⚡️ It’s the best to watch and be a part of and film. Josh and Janisa’s reception was all of the above and more and we had just the greatest time capturing the energy of the night! 🙌🏽
