I am so excited to Share The Flowers Blooming ASD Resource Hub Website Ive been working on for a while.

Our mission is to provide an online resource center of information for families of children and adults with Autism in Louisville, Kentucky. On our website we have an updated list of programs and services recommended by other parents and caregivers who understand and are a part of this community.

Categories Include:
Day programs
Play Groups for Children with autism
Community Events
Medical Dental and Therapy Services
School Recommendations
Barbershops
Sensory Friendly Places
Employment Opportunities& Assistance for Adults with Autism
Caregiver Assistance
Financial planning& Trust Funds
Evaluations & Testing

We welcome families to share their experiences with these services on our blog website so other families can choose what would work best for them.

The resource list and upcoming community events are listed under The Here We Go section! Just click on The ASD Resource List to pull up the resource list we have so far. And click on The Upcoming Events for upcoming events! If you're interested in joining my Flowers Blooming online caregiver support group sharing circle on Zoom let me know! It will be a safe space for parents/caregivers to uplift and encourage each other. ❤️

If you have a service that falls under one of these categories to serve The Autism Community please comment on this post and get in contact with me TaNaa Griffin at [email protected] so it can be added to The website. We welcome families as well to share their experiences with these services on our website so other families can choose what would work best for them.

Hello Everyone! Save The date for Saturday, June 14th at noon for our Flowers Blooming Superhero Summer Party! To our wonderful families please check in on our messenger group for updates and to rsvp closer to time.We invite everyone to come dressed as their favorite Superhero or to wear a t-shirt with their Superhero. If you can't it's okay there is no pressure! We just plan to do a suphero costume contest with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place! We will enjoy Prayer & fellowship, fun and games, crafts, and good times! Will have details as time gets closer I'll check in for a count for food. ❤️

We had an amazing time of fun and fellowship at our Flowers Blooming Ministry Bonfire Party with our wonderful families in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Community!! We are grateful to our volunteers that came to help. We had prayer, chili cookoff, devotional, fall bingo, board games, pumpkin decorating, and bonfire with smores. Congratulations to our Chili Cookoff Winners 1st place Sheyenne Watts 2nd Patricia Durbin and 3rd Vickki Lish-Mcknight !! Congratulations to our Fall Bingo winners Ricardo, Ben Adkins , Margaret Adkins , Felicia McGruder , and Ms. Durbin! Also congrats to our winners of the pumpkin decorating contest CJ with the spiderman pumpkin and Jennifer Thomson with her rainbow pumpkins. We had a blessed time in the Lord. This is The Griffin and Abell's families 5th year doing this ministry together. We look forward to more as many that God will allow. We love you! Patrick Abell Well see yall next year in the spring 2025 Lord Willing! Be Blessed Everyone!! ❤️❤️

We hope everyone is enjoying the summer but....fall is approaching and will be here before you know it! 🍂 We can't wait until Saturday, October 5th at 4:30pm for our Flowers Blooming Ministry Bonfire Party and Chili Cookoff for our wonderful special needs families. We will have a trophy and chef hat ready for the winner. We will have fun, fellowship, uplifting prayer, pumpkin decorating, bingo and smores! 🤗 If you haven't already let us know by mid september in our messenger group chat if you will be coming so we can have a count for food! We had an amazing time at our Flowers Blooming Events Ministry Summer Sports Party this year! God blessed us with a fun time of fellowship and some good weather. We look forward to our next event in the fall with our wonderful special needs caregivers, friends, loved ones, and family. We praise God to be able to come together for 5 years now and we are grateful and praying for more years to come. God bless you all and Have a Blessed Father's Day Weekend. We'll see ya in October. 😍❤️

It's Autism Awarness Month! Take the time to show love to our amazing brothers and sisters with Autism and their families! We Love You! If you see a child, teen, young adult, or adult with Autism in public that may be struggling, having behavior issues, having severe reactions to their environment, or having an anxiety attack please don't stare at them. Instead assure their parent or caregiver that everything will be okay. Learn ways to help calm the situation or offer help in a loving way to support them. Let's be mindful and continue to make every environment Autism and Sensory friendly: public bathrooms, churches, restaurants, businesses, theme parks, companies etc.!

Happy March Madness from The Flowers Blooming Events Ministry! 🏀🌼😊 Our next event coming up will be our summer event! We will be having Our First Flowers Blooming Ministry Sports Party! ⚽️⚾️⛳️🏑🏈🏀 Save The Date for Saturday June 15th at 4pm! We will have Lawn games, board games, crafts, food, fellowship, prayer/meditation, and encouragement for our wonderful special needs families. HAPPY NEW YEAR from The Flowers Blooming Ministry! We are excited to continue to host fun and interactive events for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), their caregivers, and their families. To spread God's love, goodness, and comfort to our families is always the ultimate goal. We had a fun year in 2023 and we sure will again in 2024!
