When I was in my early 20s, DJing used to be a hobby and I always thought that I would someday own a club or bar.

Now that I’m in my 40s.. I still DJ but my mindset has shifted and the new focus is continuing to grow as a business owner in this wedding and private event space without the sacrifice of quality or professionalism.

Here are a few things that you should know if you are considering for your wedding DJ and entertainment.

Expect a minimum of three Zoom meetings within the final 30 days of your wedding. During these meetings, we are building rapport, reviewing logistics, music and timeline for the wedding day.

If you have no idea or feel lost about what’s to come on your wedding day, this is normal. I will prepare you and your partner thoroughly so that you won’t be in the dark on your big day.

If you have reservations about tardiness, reliability, or if everything will be setup in time for your wedding…don’t worry. I usually coordinate with the venue ahead of time to be setup by noon on your wedding day.

These habits and processes are based on communication, professionalism and discipline - similar values used during my previous Air Force career. - Nathaniel

After 8 months of preparation, the first ever bridal expo is complete. I had a great time talking and building rapport with future couples and networking with other local wedding vendors.

Thank you Jasper & Shawna for choosing Phox Entertainment Group to entertain all 105 of your closest friends and family. I enjoyed seeing everyone from the kids to the adults laugh, dance and have a great time.

Also thank you to your day-of coordinator, Tiffany from Hustle and Bustle Events, and the entire staff of Medella Vina Ranch for hosting and providing guidance and structure throughout the evening.

Thank you Sarah. Your wedding was so much fun! Small destination weddings are always a good time and yours did not disappoint. We only had 45 guests total but they were chill, laid back and ready to party! 🥳

I’m glad everyone made it in from Wisconsin to Tucson and after getting to know them during the cocktail hour, everyone raved about how beautiful of weather and scenery was here! The Hilton El Conquistador provided us with a beautiful outdoor space which was draped by the Catalina Foothills.🏔️ It was AMAZING!

Ceci! It was an honor to be included and play a major roll in you and Ethan’s wedding celebration. Your wedding was EXTRA special because it was on a Sunday AND at Stillwell House in downtown Tucson, so I knew I had to bring it! (No pressure right? 😆)

Kelsey & Blake, it was an absolute honor and a privilege to be you DJ for the evening. I was just chatting with your mom, Jennifer here earlier on how much it meant to me to be included in such a special day. It NEVER gets old seeing all smiles on the dance floor and everyone enjoying themselves. For me, it’s instant gratification seeing this first hand and even more pleasing to see the results expressed in words in your review.

But this result could not have been possible without your day of coordinator Mackenzie. She was there from beginning to end and ensured every timeline item was went as planned. Also a BIG thanks to Glover Ranch who provided a beautiful ceremony and reception space for 100+ of your closest friends and family. As you swipe through, it’s obvious that the evening was full of fun and excitement. Daniel and his team caught every moment “in-motion” and I can’t wait to see the end project. It was also a pleasure to work Destine. Her input was crucial in making sure we had the perfect shot for your sparkler exit.

For my last wedding of 2022, on NYE I had the pleasure to DJ/MC Mandi 🇿🇼& Debbie’s 🇳🇬 Zimbabwean-Nigerian Wedding. The wedding was held at La Mariposa Report in East Tucson which hosted over 100 of Mandi & Debbie’s closest friends and family from around the world.

We started the evening off with an Unplugged Ceremony on-site. Our Officiant, Weddings by Courtney, did an excellent job in creating the perfect ceremony for Mandi & Debbie. The ceremony was topped off with a beautiful sparkler exit and kiss, which TS Cinema Wedding Films caught for cinematic memories.

We then moved to the patio for the Afro-beat themed social hour. The Tucson sunset made for the perfect backdrop. 🌅 Once social hour was over, I transitioned everyone inside to ballroom where the grand entrance, dinner, speeches and dancing/festivities took place.

As the New Year arrived, we did a sparkler exit on the patio with TS Cinema, our videographer/photographer, leading the group. I can’t wait to see how the official photos and video turns out!

This was my 2nd consecutive NYE wedding. Both were EPIC and UNFORGETTABLE. Thank you Mandi & Debbie for trusting my judgment and service to you in making your NYE and every other NYE more special. 🫡

Surprisingly…the hardest part of my job is NOT the music or MCing. This comes easy to me…
Believe it or not, getting to know my couples and building a relationship with them leading up to the wedding is the most challenging.

Dante & Danicke reached out to me 13 months prior to their wedding last month in search of a DJ who could MC their wedding. Their priorities were to have a fun and energetic wedding where guests could request their favorite songs throughout the night. After our initial Zoom meeting, Dante & Danicke were convinced they had found their wedding DJ.

I would like to thank Rudy + Ivy for the opportunity to play a HUGE roll for their Chinese Tea Ceremony. They reached out to me from New York & Boston over a year ago, in search of a DJ who could support and execute their traditional Tea Ceremony.
This ceremony was held at the beautiful indoor/outdoor venue, The Stillwell House, in the heart of downtown Tucson.

We started the day off with a cocktail hour, which led into the Tea Ceremony. We then transitioned to the courtyard for dinner and toasts, but not before viewing Ivy’s surprise video presentation for Rudy. The video was of family from around the world who could not make it to Tucson for the ceremony.

After dinner, we transitioned inside to the cantina where we finished the evening off with lots of dancing and great vibes. During our initial Zoom meeting, Rudy + Ivy mentioned that 2/3 of the their guests were not big dancers and that they wanted a “chill/low-stress” atmosphere. I made sure that their wishes were met and that everyone was having a good time every step of the way.

Needless to say, Rudy + Ivy’s expectations were met and exceeded but I COULD NOT have done it without the help of our coordinators, Christine, Lena and Chistiana, our photographer Daniel Kim, and the entire Stillwell staff. Thank you guys for your help and making this day a successful for these two!

When I was in the Air Force, I would make sure my troops got the credit they deserve when credit is due. This was a crucial component in keeping morale high and promoting good work ethics in the workplace. Now that I’m finished with the military, recognition is STILL important.
