Why is it SO important to create a budget before anything else when planning a wedding? Because you don’t truly know what you can afford until you do! If you don’t know your price range and you see something you really want, you’re going to be heartbroken if you can’t get those things once you see show much you have to spend. Creating a budget also helps when making the guest list. Some venues have a specific amount of guests for a set price. Therefore, if you know your budget then you’ll know how many guests you can afford at your dream venue as well. Follow me for more tips!

So you’re looking up wedding things and come across an idea for a wedding planner. You ask yourself, “Why would I need to hire a planner if I can do it all myself? It’s not that hard.” Let me tell you a few reasons why hiring a wedding planner will benefit you.
1. Day of coordination. Instead of you having to worry about how your vendors will be set up or if everyone is ready and in place, your planner will be there every step of the way to make sure everyone is in place. All you have to worry about is getting ready and walking down that aisle.
2. Planning a wedding is a job in itself, and as a working person you definitely don’t need to be feeling like you’re working two jobs just to plan your big day. Having a planner takes off that added stress because it IS their job.

Creating a budget starts everything. It helps you see exactly what you can afford for your big day! Without it, you can easily go into debt!! 😩
A checklist is the second most important step in the planning process. It will help keep you on track so you don’t forget even the smallest detail! With everything going on, your heads going to be everywhere. This helps you stay organized and calm.
Making a first draft of your guest lists puts how much money you’ll need for food and seating at the venue into perspective. You’ll put down everyone you’ll want there, and have an estimate to tell your vendors. Of course, you’ll have some that can’t make it, but that doesn’t matter in the first step.
