Thanks to those who joined us for our virtual choir practice/performance tonight! Choir members, it was so good to see so many of you!

I (Katie) am working on what we do next...stay tuned for further events. Our next virtual event, whether a private or open choir practice, will be shared via Facebook and email. Check back for info on when we will next meet up!

Hi everyone--Katie here.

Tonight while we were singing together for choir practice on Zoom, I got an idea.

What if we got a list of songs that we already know and enjoy singing, practice them next week, then have an open choir "performance" for our Zoom call two practices from now?

I think it's doable. I want to keep getting out in the community and showing how awesome our choir is and how much fun we have singing together.

Let's do it.

June 3rd, one week from tonight, we will have a closed practice, meaning only choir members present. At this practice, let me know if you have any songs you would like to share.

June 10th, two weeks from tonight, we will have an open Zoom call, in which we can invite friends, family, and community members to call in and listen. It won't be a perfect performance but it will be a way to sing for others.

I'm making the emails now. Think of what songs you would like to sing. And get EXCITED!

We had a very small group for virtual choir tonight. It works better when we have many friends joining to sing along! Our next choir call will be in two weeks on May 27th at 7 p.m. Please plan to join us.

Our next virtual choir will be on April 29th, at 7:15 p.m. and on Zoom. Stay tuned for the event and zoom invite!

Our next virtual choir practice will be on Wednesday, April 15th at 7:30 p.m. We will be working on the new songs Rockin' Robin and Dancing in the Moonlight. We will also sing Lean on Me in response to the passing of Bill Withers. This will be made into an event later today so that you can get reminders. We will be using Zoom so that we can offer a call-in option for choir members wanting to join via audio call. Let Katie know if you need your email or phone number added to the list!

Pump-up selfie before singing the national anthem at the ESU women's game ! We will be singing again before the men's game around 330!

Tomorrow we will be singing the national anthem at both ESU basketball games! Choir members, remember to meet at the front entrance (facing 6th street) no later than 1:15 p.m. so that we can be ready to sing by 1:30! Afterwards, you may stay and watch the game if you wish; those of us who stay will then sing the anthem again for the men's game!

Check out our new logo, designed by one of our choir members, Carol! The Sunflower Singers Unity concert vinyl decals will be for sale at our pop-up shows starting next week. $3 for one or 2 for $5. All funds from stickers purchased will go towards equipment for our choir. Grab yours at our local shows, or message us to order stickers to be shipped!
