We are introducing a new feature this morning called “Beatles Heaviest Songs.” We begin with “Birthday.”

The Beatles, especially Paul, get back to basics on this bluesy rocker, which they wrote on the spot and banged out in the studio in a single day.

“Paul was the first one in, and he was playing the 'Birthday' riff,” said Chris Thomas, was was filling in for George Martin as producer.

“Eventually the others arrived, by which time Paul had literally written the song, right there in the studio."

Spontaneity and childlike glee prevade "Birthday," from its opening drum fill to the guitar riffs to the handclaps and backing vocals, courtesy of Pattie and Yoko.

During the session, the Beatles and the recording crew made a short trip around the corner to Paul’s house to watch the 1956 rock & roll movie The Girl Can't Help It which was being shown for the first time on British television. After the movie they returned to record "Birthday"

Paul channels his early rock 'n' roll heroes Little Richard and Eddie Cochran on lead vocal, elevating an otherwise solid-but-unspectacular song into one of the Beatles' heaviest and most exciting rockers.

I can't tell you how much more you get from buying the CD, but it includes a 6-panel cover with incredible artwork and an 8-page booklet with all the lyrics to all the songs. It's also a 3 disc set, which includes 1 disc with the full songs on it, disc 2 has all the songs but with no lead vocal so you can sing along with me as your backing band, and disc 3 has all the songs but with no lead guitar on them for all you guitarists, whether beginner or professional because I put disc 3 there to encourage any guitar player to either play the solos like I do, or do what I prefer, which is to improvise and develop your own style and become unique and not play like anybody else with me as your backing band. These are all the real tracks that I use on the album. Also for Reloaded, if you want to see and learn exactly what I play, just go look at my YouTube home Reloaded performances, as Reloaded is made from my home performance videos. All in all a killer package and well worth owning because no artist on the planet did or will ever do what I'm doing with Reloaded, because records companies and every other artist is doing it for the money, whereas I do it for my fans and people like me, who just love a killer Rock record that smokes and also have all the extra bonus tracks. So again, I do what I want and innovate again instead of doing what everybody else is doing and just follow the century-old method of ripping off people to make a buck. It's time that there's an artist that works for the working class because I know what it's like to work hard just like you, and so if you're gonna spend $20.00 of the money that you earned by working hard, you'd rather get something great rather than a crap record where you only have one good song on it, and the band doesn't kick ass. Me I play for the middle and working class, and the rich guys can sit back and sip their wine and have not only lost touch with their fans as they live in their mansions and fly in private jets and play stadiums, but I'm happy in my 2700 square foot normal house making killer music. You'll be able to see me live with my band starting our world tour at the 80s festival in the sand at the Sands Hotel in Cancun between October 25-30th 2022. Don't miss it as it's one big party.
