I was surprised to find two fields of standing sunflowers so late in the season. I love the way summer meets fall in these images. Route 49 near Coudersport, PA.

This photo was taken this spring along the Pine Creek Rail Trail. I love the way the buds reflect the sunlight and lead your eye down along to the mountains. There are over 50 miles of beautiful views and all kinds of wildlife to take in along this route. Katie and I want to bike the entire length of the trail, but with kids in tow, we can only go a couple of miles...still plenty to see! This majestic trail leads to an old mill stone quarry about four miles above Asaph in Tioga County, PA. The quarry was in operation in the 1830s and the area is referred to as Hesselgessel, in homage to it's founder. We are blessed to have so many miles of beautiful forest to explore!

This image was made between raindrops on Tigertail Beach in Marco Island. This drama takes place all summer long across Southwest Florida and is a beautiful display of God's awesome power.

Nothing like a nice cold winter to make you appreciate spring! These cherry blossoms made their way into my "still" series and are probably my favorite spring flower. Although Hurricane Sandy passed on the other coast a few days ago, the surf is still pretty rough here in the Gulf. I like the tone in this shot of some old pillars off Gordon Drive.

Nigel and Sandra came all the way from the U.K. to be married on Marco Island. We were worried that the persistent rain would put a damper on the ceremony, but a little rain couldn't get this couple down! The intimate ceremony was beautiful and this vacation home made an excellent wedding venue. It may not have been the original plan, but I don't think they would change a thing. Congratulations, Sandra and Nigel!

These ominous black clouds kept me in state of nervous anticipation as I waded across the shallow lagoon that leads to the Gulf. Tigertail has quickly become my favorite place to make images on Marco Island. The trek through the crab-laced path to the beach is like stepping into an issue of National Geographic every time.

During this particular shoot I had the beach almost to myself due to the constant threat of a downpour. I love the contrast in the clouds as the sunset is slowly engulfed by the imposing storm front. If you look closely, you can see the only other beach goer, a retired woman who tries to make her way to the beach whenever there is a storm.

I am truly blessed to live in such a beautiful part of God's creation!
