During the Roman Empire, the wedding cake was a loaf of bread which the groom would crumble over the bride's head to symbolize fertility.
I don't know about you but I am so glad we live in a time where we get to enjoy eating wedding cake instead!

Tips on how to prepare for a wedding cake tasting.
Cake tasting is one of the fun aspects of planning your wedding. The following is some of the advice that I give my clients before heading into a cake tasting:
* Write it down. You might think you will remember everything but after a while of tasting information may start meshing.
* Bring pictures of your vision but don't expect an exact replica. Give your cake designer the freedom to be creative.
* Take sips of water to clear out your taste palate in between samples so that your taste palate doesn't get over loaded.
* Share restrictions and preferences with the baker prior to your cake tasting so that you don't waste time on anything that would not be an option.
* It's important to take your time and not schedule all of your tastings in one day. You don't want to get sick from the sugar rush!

Have you seen the new fun trend of replacing flower girls in the ceremony with grandmas or your best adult friend? Don't worry, being a flower girl is still a big deal for little girls.
When asking that special little girl to be your flower girl, ask her in a unique way. Maybe a hand delivered invitation with a candy bouquet? Have you thought of how you will ask your future flower girl?

However you may want to communicate your wedding vows to your partner is ok. There is no right or wrong way. It is your wedding after all!

How do you feel about event planning to-do lists? Is it:
A) always completed in the designated time frame, B) growing at a faster rate than you can cross things off, or
C) something different altogether?
Most often, my clients answer is B because they didn't realize how many details are involved in planning their perfect day. Good thing I'm so familiar with the process and I'm a stickler for completing all these time consuming and detailed tasks on time!
