Who likes a good ole afternoon tea???
The Abingdon VFW are having there annual Christmas party on Saturday December 3rd, and guess who’s gonna be there! Yup! Me!
Doilies English teatime. Are catering the event for the second year, the menu is second to non, all authentic British food, either shipped from over the pond, or made at home by yours truly 🙋‍♀️ we have a selection of fine teas, from wittards of Chelsea, including white silver needle,
Hats props and party attire aplenty,
along with a life size queen and Coldstream guard to hang with, after tasting our teas, soup or a salad will be served, followed by a full high tea experience complete with etiquette lessons, and party games,
Because it’s America, there will also be a huge Chinese auction with gift cards and tons of quality gifts donated by local businesses,
tickets are selling fast, it’s open to anyone, regardless of memebership, and I promise you a blast,
Message me if you would like tickets, I’d love to have some friends there to help wash up 😂
Seriously, if you’ve not been to a doilies party and want to sample what we offer, come on down!

One of my local towns back home 😍
A commuter train crosses the Knaresborough viaduct over the river Nidd in North Yorkshire. Built in 1848 the viaduct connects Knaresborough with Harrogate on the Harrogate line. The viaduct can be seen striking across the Nidd Gorge from the ruins of Knaresborough Castle and is a well-known viewpoint in the town.Yorkshire-born writer, J. B. Priestley, was in admiration of how the river reflected the viaduct and said that it "added a double beauty to the scene. The viaduct is a grade II listed structure.

Took a quick trip over the pond last week, caught up with family and friends, we had a wonderful afternoon at tea on the green, and of course I brought back some deliciousness to remind me of home 🇬🇧🇺🇸❤️
