This weekend was AMAZING!! Heavy Plates by Jessie Mae is official now y’all! The MOTIVATION that was in that room was on another level of black excellence. I’ve been shouting and crying all morning from the sheer excitement of this all😁🥹 I received an unexpected yet pleasant phone call bright and early this morning from the lovely Chef Delilah Scott-Johnson of Delilah's Logic and Chapter President of the National Black Chef’s Association with news of my nomination and that I’d be one of the many to be accepting an award at this years award ceremony.
I’m honored to be apart of and among the next generation of chefs.
