👩🏻‍🌾🌻TGIF friends! It’s been hot today but oh how beautiful has that sunshine been. I know how very necessary the rain is………. But oh that sunshine.

…..And June… what to say about June. We have worked out in a lot of rain and tried to get all that we could done but it still slowed us down. So now the sun is out and we work in the heat as per usual in the summertime. So we get done what we get done and we grow what grows and we cut what blooms. And that’s about it.

June has been a wonderful month and a challenge as well. Several new customers and referrals( thank you all so much) have been a welcome in a month that can typically be slow for the flower biz. But the challenge I have faced this month is making it to the Farmer’s Market. So to my market customers I say thank you for your unwavering patience and support. I so enjoy all our conversations and flower talk but we will not be at the market tomorrow- again I apologize for any inconvenience. Running a small business means you have to make hard decisions but sometimes I need a day off ( or just a little break) too. As we prepare for our on farm event next week -our 4th Annual Petal Palooza- I hope you will consider a visit just to see what our little farm is all about. Hope you all have an exceptionally great weekend. We hope to see you soon.

👩🏻‍🌾🌻 Summer is literally around the corner and the dahlias are already here!!!

…… I counted about 100 blooms today that should be open in the next few days- to say I was excited would be an understatement. This year we planted about 500 dahlia tubers ( that’s a lot for this little farm) and thankfully most of them have done well regardless of the rain. It was a lot of work to get them started but man oh man they are going to be more than a moment of beauty.

…. Our next flower subscription starts in a just a couple weeks and yes they will be loaded with dahlias. We have just 3 spaces left…. Does one of them have your name on it? 👩🏻‍🌾🌻Hey Friends! Check out these pics of some beauties from our harvest the last couple of days.

We will not be at the Farmer’s Market tomorrow due to the possibility of inclement weather. I apologize for the inconvenience. I have wrestled with the idea of what to do tomorrow and this is just what made sense not knowing how much/ if rain and thunderstorms might come. We hope to be back next week if all is well with the weather. As always we will have flowers at the farm for pick up- you may order off of the website petalseekersflowerfarm.com or message us and we will be happy to provide curbside delivery when you drop by to pick up your flowers.

👩🏻‍🌾 …….I just love a good sweet pea! I can never get enough of their nostalgic beauty and lovely fragrance. They have been a favorite almost all of my life as they remind me of my precious flower loving great grandmother Mable.

…So today I took the sweet pea haul from a couple days ago and made a table bouquet for myself.

…. Now it’s always a good idea to have a vessel in mind that will become the home of the beauties you so lovingly pick and harvest.

…And the vessels I chose,a collection of white hobnail cups in the wicker basket, are as special as the precious memory of my great grandmother and her sweet peas. This cup and basket set was a gift from my mother- they belonged to her beloved aunt who passed away when she was a young girl. I never met her but I share my middle name with her.

….So today I enjoyed a huge dose of nostalgia and beauty…. It’s always good for the soul! Hope your Tuesday has a little dose of nostalgia and beauty too!!

👩🏻‍🌾🌻 Hey y’all!! It been such a busy week! Lots got done but still so much to do and it’s already June!!! Well regardless this week has felt like a great week. With the help of my friend Lindsay we got 1100 stems of grain harvested to be dried and used in our dried wreaths. Yay!! Thanks Lindsay!!

And a big thanks to my friend Jodie for her help weeding the dahlia rows and my son Landon for helping me drive the majority of the tposts!! The dahlias are looking great and we may even have a few blooms this week!- we shall see!

Gracie the flower dog helped me stake the dahlias. It was a smidge muddy and I’m just glad it didn’t turn into mud wrestling match😬

Friends we so appreciate your support and hope you enjoy our flowers as much as we do. We have again sold out for the week. Thank you!!!!! But this means we will not be at Bounty of the Barrens Farmer’s Market tomorrow. I’m so sorry and apologize for any inconvenience but again want to thank all those who came out to pick up flowers and all our subscriptions and wholesale clients and customers. You guys are awesome! …. Don’t forget you can also preorder flowers on our website and pick up at the farm next week. The preorder option is available most weeks. Message us for any questions about what’s blooming or if a pick up option isn’t available that you need- we try our best to find a way to accommodate your needs.

…. Are you still considering a flower subscription? It’s a great way to have fresh flowers in the house. The large bouquets are big enough that you can break them down for two smaller bouquets as well. Have any of you men out there considered a subscription for that special lady in your life- we have several men who do this. I love to see the smiles when delivered or the texts I get when the bouquets are picked up- they are such a wonderful pick me up! We are just overjoyed to share our floral bundles of joy with you.
