Thank you Angie @ Petal Seekers Flower Farm for hosting such a fabulous, informative, hands-on workshop! We loved learning all about amaryllis bulbs and creating our own festive amaryllis garden pots. 🌺✨

In a busy holiday season, taking time to work with our hands and breathe in the beauty of blooms feels grounding and healing. Long post with lots of goodies!

Tomorrow Sat Nov 15th we are back at the Farmers Market will all kinds of holiday beauty and joy. Join us from 8-noon along with all the other awesome vendors at Barren County Extension Office and get some holiday shopping done for that flower lover in your life!

New this year are the “Nir” Paperwhites. They are largest and best of fragrance of all paperwhites( in my opinion)-they have a soft pleasing fragrance ( different from lots of other Paperwhites) and will make a great addition to a favorite container you have waiting for some holiday cheer! We are also bringing the favorite holiday flower, the Amaryllis, back to the market so be sure to come by and snag one! We will have some dried floral wreaths as well- you guys keep buying them after I have barely posted them😂- but I’m not complaining. Making wreaths is one of my favorite things to do and I’m so glad to see others enjoy my creations! We will also have some tulip bulbs and limited selection of peony roots- we still have Dr. Alexander Fleming, Coral Sunset, and Duchess de Nemours. This will be the last opportunity of the year to get tulips bulbs and peony roots so get yours while you can.

It’s wreath making season! Dried Wreaths that is!( Don’t worry in just a short couple of weeks we will have all the Evergreen Wreaths as well).

We will have our first offerings of wreaths at Bounty of the Barrens Farmer’s Market this weekend on Sat from 8-noon. And we will soon have these listed on our website as well if they stay around long enough- these were a popular item last year and we have already had some go out the door this year as well! Pick up at the farm or anytime we are at the Farmers Market. Delivery is also available.

We will have all kinds of other holiday goodies at the market as well- XL Amaryllis bulbs, super big narcissus bulbs- all great for gift giving and they come with instructions on how to grow. We are sold out of our Coral Sunset, Shirley Temple, and Angel Cheeks print roots but we still have some of Dr. Alexander Fleming(pink) and Duchess de Nemours( white) peony roots left. We have sold out of several tulip bulbs as well but also will have a hand full of tulip bulbs and narcissus that are ready to put in the ground now for spring enjoyment- now’s the time to put the work in to enjoy your blooms come spring!

…Do you know the joy of watching the Amaryllis grow and bloom in the cold of winter? It’s really a magical thing to watch!

…Come join me at Southern Ky Floral Exchange in Bowling Green for an Amaryllis Garden Workshop Friday Nov 21st from 5:30-6:30pm. Choose from a selection of beautiful Amaryllis to place in a Birch Bowl vessel and then embellish with live moss. These Amaryllis bulbs aren’t just any ordinary amaryllis bulb. These are the biggest available with 2-3 stems of blooms and each stem having 4-6 blooms. They put on QUITE the winter show.

We will also learn about care of your Amaryllis as well as how to get it to rebloom next year.

Our fresh cut season is almost over but don’t be dismayed- the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday Seasons are quickly approaching and we have some exciting workshop opportunities coming your way. We work hard sowing, planting, growing, and harvesting and the dried floral workshops are the epitome of all that hard work- I just love making these beauties. 3. Holiday Amaryllis Workshop- our first ever workshop in Bowling Green at Southern Kentucky Floral Exchange Friday Nov 21st 5:30-6:30. Maybe you are no stranger to the holiday amaryllis but maybe you are- either way you will love choosing from a selection of extra large amaryllis bulbs to be added to a beautiful holiday vessel and then we embellish with live moss. These gorgeous amaryllis will have 2-3 stems of flowers and 4-6 flowers on each stem. Talk about a beautiful holiday centerpiece to light up the darkness of winter-this is it! 4. Last but not least is an old fav- Our Holiday Wreath Workshop! Nothing says tis the season more than the fresh smells of a handmade evergreen wreath. Don some cedar and other evergreens to make your wreath and add berries and pine cones and a few other surprises to spruce up your door for the festive holiday season.
