International Association of Women Police, Glacier Gala is about to kick off!

At 11AM tomorrow, Monday, September 23rd, the International Association of Women Police Parade of Nations will kick off at 7th Avenue in front of the Dena’ina Convention Center. The parade will march in a large rectangle from 7th on the north side, E Street on the east side, 9th Avenue on the south side, and H Street on the west side. This area will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 10:30 AM and will reopen by 1:00 PM at the latest. We will send out a Nixle when the roads have cleared.

Over 700 participants from 43 countries will be attending the IAWP annual conference this week. Come on down and see all of the flags – what a sight it will be! While you are welcome to watch anywhere along the parade route, the best place will be on 9th Avenue on the Park Strip between E and H Streets.
