Swiss Alps, circa 2008—my first trip to Europe. Since then, I’ve traveled internationally 23 times. Once you step into another country, your life is forever changed. Travel opens your mind to endless possibilities, offering a deeper understanding of different cultures and ways of life. It’s truly transformative.
When I became a mother four years ago, I knew my travels would slow down for a season, and I was at peace with that. But in October, I took a trip to Portugal—part of it solo—and something inside me reignited. Being alone in a foreign place brought back memories of all my past travels and reminded me how profoundly they’ve shaped my life. I found myself smiling the entire time, completely in my element.
Becoming a mother doesn’t mean we have to stop traveling. We all deserve a trip just for ourselves. So many people ask me, Aren’t you afraid to travel alone? My answer is always no. Yes, there is darkness in the world, but there is also so much good. I’ve witnessed it time and time again, especially when I’m traveling solo. People are kind, and when we choose to look for the good, we will find it.
That’s why I’m so excited to take a group of women to the Dolomites—to help them experience the same joy, freedom, and inspiration that travel has given me. I can’t wait to hike the trails, see the breathtaking lakes, and share this journey with others.
