Ideally, Nigerian Traditional Weddings are held at the bride’s compound (residence) in Nigeria, where the family welcomes guests and the ceremony begins.
When not in Nigeria, the traditional setting is re-created with raffia mats, gourds and cultural props.

The couple had two weddings on this day.
1️⃣ Morning: Traditional Wedding Ceremony
2️⃣ Afternoon: Church Ceremony
After the Traditional wedding ceremony, we had to get the couple and bridal party back to their suites (few minutes away from the traditional wedding venue) to change and then get them to the Church (about 10 minutes away from their suites) on time.
It's always best to keep your "getting ready" location as close as possible to your venue to avoid any issues with delays.

The day before the wedding, we had the rehearsal. The wedding party (including the little bride and ring bearer) got to practice walking in and out. They also got to know what was expected of them for the ceremony, and also got to meet everyone ☺️
This bride is truly surrounded with heavens best of friends ❤️

#wcw...this beautiful bride Tayo & groom Leke were both faced with the decision of moving the wedding date or moving the wedding from Virginia (25 capacity) to New Jersey (150 capacity). Tayo took it to God in prayers and believed all will be well. They both decided to keep the wedding date in Virginia. A few days before the wedding, the number went down from 25 to 10 people allowed at social gatherings. Still, Tayo believed so strongly that something would change...and it did! 1.) The ban didn't apply to the traditional and church ceremony. 2.)
