Gemma is a wonderful dancer. So the florist incorporated toe shoes into the placecard table. It was beautiful and fun. Placecard tables are the first place guests look.

Many a Passover brisket has been made in this Le Crueset Dutch Oven. From my Aunt Nettie in Brighton Beach Brooklyn, to my Mother in Morrisville all those years, and now in Philadelphia. You can taste the history. I use this pot to cook in quite often but brisket is its history. Chag Sameach! And hopefully by next year this time we will be talking about more than vaccines and grounded shipping liners 😀

Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas were a big hit this week. Elijah had them for 3 meals in a row. That's always a good sign. Stuffed Meatloaf and Mashed was the other choice. Perfect wintertime eats. 💜

What ever happened to the Oneg Shabbat? That sweets filled reception after services on Friday nights at Har Sinai Temple in Trenton, NJ? These little cheesecake bites were always my favorite. I think my mother made them many times. They HAVE to have canned pie filling, especially cherry. No fresh fruit here! Anyway, I am feeling a little nostalgic today as I am baking these for some treat boxes today. I don't know what made me think to makes these, but I'm bringing them back into style.

Our very little urban garden is beginning to ripen. 2 tomato plants, one jalapeño plant and mint. We have lost some of our "crop" to the mighty, mighty Philly squirrels. They only like the tomatoes when they are ripe. Smart squirrels! # phillyfoodies
