Howdy Bagel was more than just a bagel shop; it was a dream brought to life by Jake and Daniel. In a post from their Instagram page two months ago, they shared their journey: âA little intro for all you newbies! Weâre Daniel and Jake (and Millie)! We opened Howdy Bagelâs storefront almost 6 months ago (wutttt). Starting Howdy during the pandemic after being laid off from our jobs, we began with door-to-door deliveries to friends and family via Instagram DMs, eventually expanding to Tacoma farmers markets, pop-ups, and bagel subscriptions. When a storefront on STW opened up, we nervously but excitedly signed the lease. We couldâve never imagined what Howdy would become, but we are forever thankful to our community, friends, and staff. Hereâs to unexpected beginnings and grateful hearts. Love you, bagel babes. xx -Daniel, Jake, & the Howdy Crew.â
Jacobâs passing is a profound loss for many. Our thoughts are with Daniel, the Howdy Bagel team, the greater Tacoma community, and everyone whose lives were touched by Jacobâs vibrant spirit. Rest in peace, Jacob.
