Mutual Fish is legendary. If you want the best seafood, this is the only place to shop. Just ask any Chef, cookbook author or home cook. Tom Douglas, Cynthia Nims, Hsiao-Ching Chou, Kathy Casey, Greg Atkinson, Monique Barbeau, Lucinda Santiago and Bunny Critch (plus a few hundred others). If Jon Rowley was still alive, he would share plenty of fish tales.

In an earlier era, Seattle might not have housed a critical mass of supporters for Pike Place Market. The Market was built on working-class and agriculture values, while its champions were largely professionals with more education and privilege.
