Urban ReThink Community enterprise hub serving Central Florida's independent-minded, community-spirited doers. Offe Bookstore, Thornton Park's beloved community bookstore.
(59)

A first of its kind hub for creativity, collaboration, and transformation. Urban ReThink gathers and showcases Central Florida's inependent-minded, comunity-spirited thinkers and doers, connecting and empowering the community's citymakers. urbanrethink.com

THE PLACE: Urban ReThink is a hub and home for independent professionals. We provide coworking, gathering, and event spaces; opportunities for

creative collaboration and intellectual stimulation; inspiring and informative programming; and the structure to empower independent professionals while enriching our community. THE IDEA: Urban ReThink is the result of visioning and strategic planning to find the most innovative and beneficial use for this special community place that once house the Urban Think! UR is based on the evolution of nontraditional workspace models, and the rise of a new "creative class" of entrepreneurs, independent professionals and enthusiasts. AND IT GETS BETTER: Beyond a great space, UR supports a great cause. Proceeds from UR programs and activities are used to support other programs within the Urban Think! Foundation, including Page 15, the acclaimed children's literacy program, and Burrow Press, Orlando's independent publisher and online review.

Did you know you can follow Googliann on Facebook? The mural is technically still on the wall at our old home of 625 Central, but we need your help to keep her memory alive! Please tag the Googliann page in any photos you have of our friend, here, or on Flickr and other sharing sites!

You know her as the 12 foot high mural adorning the wall of Urban ReThink. This page is the story of her adventures across the globe and into our hearts.

The Super Joy Riders had another super fantastic ride today! Thanks to all of you who came out and helped to make our community even better. The Super Joy Riders meet on the last Sunday of every month to pick up litter, clean graffiti, and spread love throughout Orlando.

It was another beautiful Florida day! We had a fantastic time pedalling around downtown Orlando doing good today. We picked up litter all over the downtown, then hopped over to say hello to the boys at the Fire Station and present them with some hammocks from Banana Hammock Republic, one of our event sponsors.

Sunday the 29th at 10 am, the Super Joy Riders will be out saving the world again! Meet at the corner of Eola and Central at the Lake Eola Farmers' Market with a bike and a cape, and help us make our community a better place.

Today is our final day of public programming at 625 E. Central, and we kicked off our day with a favorite: Creative Mornings / Orlando featuring the incomparable Ted Murphy and a packed house of Orlando creatives.

Ted challenged us to unplug, and CONNECT with others in the room. The result was a massive idea fest, culminating in an egg drop from the loft. Good golly, Orlando - you're sending us off in style.

We've been sitting on the edge of our seats all month here at Urban ReThink as we await the news from the city concerning who will be awarded the contract for the city's new Bike Share program. SunCycles is one of our favorite coworkers and we are so proud that they have been able to call us home while working on this bid.
Wish them luck!

As part of their proposal to the City of Orlando to operate a bike share program, CycleHop proposed 30 locations for their bike share hubs. CycleHop, in part

Thank you to our friends who came out for last night's town hall to discuss what happens after we close the doors on October 1 - lovingly dubbed on Twitter and Instagram.

The answers? We don't have them yet, but we're talking to lots of people, looking at lots of spaces, and listening to YOU. Check the pics for what our guests said when we asked, "What should come next?"

To celebrate the memories, we started a string of great moments - hurry in before October 1 to tell us about the best things that happened in 625 E Central.
