This wedding was entrusted to me within 72 hours of the big day and none of the guests knew the difference! These amazing ladies have accomplished so many things in the last year of being married! I cannot wait to see what they do next.

Why I believe that a wedding planner is not a luxury but a necessity.

Wedding planners are highly overlooked when brides are researching and booking wedding vendors. Our services are also the least understood in the wedding industry. In my experience this is because of the lack of education and information on what we do. In case you don’t know what a wedding planner does, i’m here to help explain. A wedding planner is best described as a manager or team coach. We manage, help coach, and walk you through every single detail of the wedding day, from design, reading contracts, communicating with vendors, attending vendor meetings, set up, tear down and executing the wedding day seamlessly all while making the process less stressful as possible for the couple and family. Without us this all falls either on you, your family or another vendor (typically your photographer) and they are taken away from completing the job they were hired to do and instead doing the things a planner should be doing! All while the couple and families are being pulled in multiple directions day of and not being able to enjoy the time with each other and guests.

If you are planning a wedding, look into having consultations with a planner or a month of coordinator. Learn the value of having one on your wedding day. They are there to help you and make sure everything is going smoothly so you can enjoy the process and have fun!

I’m Bailey Smith the owner and lead planner of Bailey Smith Weddings and Events.

I have been working in the event planning industry for about 2 years, working alongside very well known planners in the central Arkansas area. These planners include Caroline Ply Events and White Pine Coordination. I have learned so much from these two ladies mentoring me and have had so much fun working alongside them. (I will still be working with Caroline and her team on weddings!)

I have known since I was a little girl that I wanted to do something in the decoration and design field. Weddings have become a huge passion of mine. Once I started working with Caroline Ply and planned my own wedding I knew what I wanted to do!

To my future clients: My goal is to build lifetime memories with you as a couple from the time you get engaged to your wedding day to starting a family. I want to be there every step of the way to plan the most important events in your life.
I am so excited for this new chapter and ready to start planning!
